New Neighborhood
7 years ago by
We just moved into a new studio (as I’m sure you already know if you follow us or G on instagram). It’s super exciting, and we can’t wait to explore our new neighborhood, Nolita. Do you guys know this area well? What places should we try? We’d love your recs!
The Elizabeth st garden! Spa sante cheapie mani/pedi/massage.
About a million places to buy luxe organic skin care. Cafe gitane early mornings- couscous is totally ok for breakfast! Ruby’s bronte burger.
Hi Brittany,
I have to agree with Lauren re: Elizabeth St garden (elizabethstreetgarden.org) and Cafe Gitane (cafegitanenyc.com). I love their smoked trout salad, baked eggs (shakshuka), and the avocado toast. Getting hungry just thinking about it!
You might also enjoy Maman – I am a sucker for their matcha latte (mamannyc.com/maman-soho)
If the white hot chocolate is still on the menu at Vosges Haut-Chocolate in Soho, it’s really quite something too. It’s made with white chocolate, vanilla, lavender and Australian lemon myrtle – sounds like an odd combination, but it’s delicious! (vosgeschocolate.com/boutiques)
A few other spots to look out for if you’re a coffee lover are:
Two Hands (twohandsnyc.com)
Cafe Integral (cafeintegral.com)
Happy Bones (happybonesnyc.com)
And of course, make time to check out all the little boutiques on Elizabeth St (Le Labo, Atelier Cologne, Me&Ro, Love Adorned, Tacombi, etc etc)
A friend used to go to Fishion Herb Center on Mott for acupuncture / massage all the time too, but I haven’t check them out yet…
Nolita rocks – enjoy settling in!
I’m sure you already know of these all … but:
Balaboosta! So delicious for dinner.
Greecologies for delicious yogurt in a cute store.
Clic Bookstore and Gallery for beautiful homegoods, books and they have a clothing store next door (connected).
La Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels for wine after work.
Epistrophy cafe – casual Nolita italian staple!
This was my neighbourhood for almost 2 years, and forever in my heart :)
I hope you’re settling in nicely and I’m sure have discovered all the popular spots.
I wanted to share Golden Bridge Yoga with you, on Centre St between Clic and Maman – if you can make it to their Women’s only Kundalini class at noon on a Wed – try it out – an oasis of zen in the middle of busy downtown :)
