Mad for Miro

Raise your hand if you’re an art enthusiast.

If you’re like me, then you appreciate a good museum, especially if it’s filled with Joan Miró’s work. That being said, If you’re ever in Barcelona (for work, holiday, or even an Eat Pray Love kind of situation) definitely check out Fundació Joan Miró. The museum’s space, designed by Spanish architect Josep Lluís Sert, is bright and airy. Better yet, the walls are covered with a bounty of Miró’s whimsical and colorful artwork. It’s the perfect space to browse, stroll, and relish the art while also taking in the scenic hills of Montjuïc (the museum’s neighborhood). And if you’re in the mood for more art, the Mies van der Rohe Pavillion and Museu Nacional d’Arte de Catalunya are a 10 minute walk from the foundation. It’s one stop shopping!
