Fighting Fit

Fighting Fit

Online shopping is basically the dream.

Getting to sift through all of the items in a completely peaceful environment (your office home), see each item clearly laid out, use the search optimization tools to find exactly what you’re looking for (or, you know, just dream a little about that crazy embellished number you probably – definitely – need for NYE).

But, one thing: the sizes.

Ah yes, that old online shopping foe. I don’t care how accurate the sizing guides are, it’s still kind of difficult to gauge whether you’ve got it right.

Enter Body Labs, who are working on defeating the issue. They’re developing a 3D body-modeling tool which will more accurately measure each brand’s was it, bust and hip measurements. The result is more efficient and accurate online shopping (and fewer return to senders)!

Expect to see 3-D modelling integrated into your shopping experiences within the next two years– where items of clothing will appear on realistic body models that pose, animate, measure, compare, average, analyze, predict, and find the perfect fit.

Cool, no? A little more than water cooler talk…

  • Hello,

    Merci !

  • Ah! This is awesome! Can’t wait to see this integrated. Online shopping is my favorite, but I hate having to deal with returns if things don’t fit quite right. xo

  • Went to the body lab site, and I just loved how they say “your body is an interface”, so insightful!

  • Thak You 4 this . Cheers
