DIY Avocado Mask

Even though it’s probably best on toast, it’s great for your skin too.
Avocado, we love you so. So much that we’re happy to smear you all over our faces (primarily for your moisturizing and anti-aging capabilities)(seriously, avocados will help delay wrinkles and give that glow).
I was talking to some of my friends at Banyan Botanicals, who are experts in all things natural, about the easiest home recipe for an all-natural avocado face mask:
Ingredients:
1/2 avocado (soft and ripe)
1 tablespoon hot water
1 teaspoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon honey
Mash or puree the avocado and set aside. Dissolve the honey and coconut oil in the water and stir the liquid into the avocado base. Mix well. Clense the face, pat dry, and then massage (read: smear) the mask onto your skin – be careful to avoid eyes and lips (no matter how tempting it is to take a bite). Let the mask dry for 10 – 15 minutes before wiping clean with a warm, damp cloth and then patting dry.
It feels great on the skin, but my warning: go for the green homemade face mask when you’re home alone and there’s no one around to see you covered in goop.

I used to smear fruits over my face all the time – watermelon, strawberry, lemon, etc. Great recipe btw!
Je n’ai toujours pas essayé parce que j’aime trop l’avocat pour ne pas le manger ! L’écraser et l’étaler sur le viage plutôt qu’un bon guacamole me semble être un sacrifice insurmontable ;)
I will rather eat my avocado with my salad, drink honey with my morning lime water than mix them and smear on my face. Let the moisturize come from inside out

At the cost of avocado at the moment in Australia, I’m afraid it’s going to have to work it’s wonders from the inside out!! I couldn’t watch that half an avo go down the drain! ????
