Days of Disco

I love minimalism, but there’s nothing wrong with a bit of sparkle.*
So, during fashion week I was really surprised to see barely any nods to the disco era despite so many 70s-inspired designs on the runway! Then I went to Rodarte and finally NARS had created a makeup with some disco appeal, almost Studio 54 worthy.
It was still clean and pared back on the base, super subtle… aside from the line of crystals that they kept in a straight line, keeping it modern. It was still more dream than reality, but maybe for a special event??
*When the moment is right, and not all over your face. Definitely not a Monday morning on the first day of your new job.

Ha je trouve ça super jolie ! C’est vrai qu’être créatif au niveau de la paupière inférieure, c’est compliqué. Je ne la maquille jamais, en fait je préfère largement une petite déco comme ça qu’un trait d’eye liner. Ca me rappelle le beauty look pour Fendi d’il y a quelques saisons, avec les morceaux de tissues collés sous les yeux des filles. C’était trop cool !

Looks very interesting, but I would’nt stand the feeling of some heavy grain of sand under the eyeline.

I think it would look better on the top lid, this looks heavy and uncomfortable.
C’est vraiment réussi. Après comme toi j’aime la sobriété accompagnée d’une petite touche de folie. Pour le coup c’est réussi, finalement elle ne porte rien d’autre que ces paillettes. Elle est dans l’esprit “effortless” la contradiction et joliment faite.
