The Optimism of Spring Fashion
4 years ago by
We love fashion this time of year because if we would use one word to describe it, it would OPTIMISTIC. Why ‘optimistic” in the coldest month of the year? Because we are counting down the days where we can wear anything other than the biggest coat in our closet. We are dreaming of the day we can don this yellow dress and run through fields singing “the hills are alive with the sounds of music!”
Lucky for us, one of our favorite clothing brands, SEA, embodies that optimism of spring. While SEA is optimistic and known for its prints and romantic details, we also love it because it is extremely wearable. When we put on a SEA piece we feel like we can kick up some Tom Sawyer foolery with a side of feminine charm.
We were recently in Los Angeles where we met up with stylist Nina Miners and took a delightful walk through her neighborhood while she style and model some of her favorite pieces from SEA’s Spring Collection. Read on to hear Nina’s thoughts and styling notes on the collection…
I love the color of this yellow dress. It feels very unexpected. This dress is an easy day to night item and pairs well with a flat shoe – slides, sandals or a boot.
This top has a very ornate quality that I like – it feels special but still comfortable enough to wear during the day. The pants are so easy and would be cute even with a tee shirt and sneakers.
This dress is gorgeous and perfectly paired with the blue velvet mules. The second outfit is more classic but really chic, I love it. Perfect to get ready for the summer and it can be worn with sneakers and declined in many others ways, as you said. I am going to explore the Sea collection, thanks for introducing it!
I can’t wait to wear flashy/optimistic colours for the spring (I have already done it actually, I’m wearing lots of flashy pink and green colours). Next one on my list is definitely yellow!
