I get just as enthusiastic about outfitting my closet for a new season as I used to get about back to school shopping as a kid. I suppose I’ve always needed something to help me dispel the blahs as summer sets and the uninterrupted joie de vivre fades into the distance…
REGARDLESS. A new season is a chance to reinvent your look and one of my favorite trends for adult back to school this year is Power Red. I know, red of any kind, especially of the power variety, might seem a little daunting; take it from someone whose closet consists of black, white, and more black. But I have decided to take the plunge this season and work this into my repertoire for fall.
Power red gives you an edge that I’m looking forward to trying on for size. And there are countless ways to do it. We tried some of our favorite power red pieces on the lovely Sam Swan. Which one would you try? Who’s with me?
Whether you’re headed to the office or out for the night, the little red dress is the perfect piece to give you that confidence boost heading out the door.
Not ready to go full force? Go for a bold accessory! Try a pair of power red heels, maybe even a little color blocking to give you an all around power edge.
Hot, hot, hot! AND cool, cool, cool. Try a pair of red statement pants, leather or otherwise. Throw on your favorite tee and sneakers and you’ve got the ultimate cool girl uniform.
Red is FUN. A fun color plus a fun accessory is a match made in heaven. Don’t be shy, find a statement accessory and go for it.
Power Red Pantsuit – say that three times fast. If you’re feeling bold go for the head to toe power ensemble. Break up the suiting with a vintage tee and you can wear this anywhere.
I adore red in general, it’s one of my favourite colours and therefore I love what you show here!
