A Street Style With Natalie Franz

Describe your style in 3 words.
Classy. Masculine. Chic.
What are you wearing and how does it reflect your personal style?
I’m wearing a Balenciaga coat, oversized Isabel Marant jeans, a Céline jumper and Prada boots, a combination that reflects my everyday wardrobe choices rather well. I am a great believer in the quality of the clothes I choose to wear and this look is as feminine as it is androgynous and minimalistic. I love Demna Gvasalia’s work for Balenciaga – this coat is his take on the classic Balenciaga shape from the 50’s and it adds a touch of coolness to an overall classy look.
What is your ideal outfit or uniform to wear each day?
Given that I live in Hamburg, Germany (and we all know what that means in terms of rain frequency), I usually grab a clean cashmere turtleneck, a pair of jeans (preferably by Toteme or Closed) and a good pair of sneakers.
Define style versus fashion.
Despite the fact that style obviously overrules fashion due to one’s personality and sartorial choices, I still have to admit that I love a nice fashion statement here and there. It’s all in the mix, really.
Who are your style icons?
My ballet teacher back in Russia was the most stylish woman I’ve ever met. Elegant, yet very deliberate. I also love Romy Schneider and Kate Moss.
How does makeup and beauty play into your personal style?
I worked as a makeup artist for a long time, so I’m very much aware of how easy it is to change the face of a woman to bring the best out of her features with just some basic strikes. While I personally don’t wear much makeup, I do love to enhance my eyes – I can’t imagine living without a mascara and my MAGICSTRIPES Eyelid Lifting Stripes in size M. They make me look awake and fresh. That said: rather than quantity, I’m a fan of quality.
She’s a perfection! Very stylish and elegant.
Look tres sympa qu’il est possible de reproduire sans passer par la case designers. Heureusement.
