It’s the big winter jacket, the one all my friends have or want and that has been coming back every winter for a few season. I don’t really know if it has a name but it usually comes from Acne (even if we can find versions of it a little bit everywhere now) that issues news colors every year, you wear it super oversized and with the most nonchalant attitude you have…
I’m on my way to Paris (finally!) where I’ve heard it’s springtime (finally!) but I’m still dreaming of the light beige version, perfect for an easy transition from winter to summer…

I love the edginess and warmth this coat exudes. It’s rich in textures but still looks casually cool. That beige one is really pretty! Steal some Paris sunshine for me here in DC.

La veste est sympa, mais un modèle pas pratique à mettre, plus adaptée comme quelqu’un l’écrivait plus haut pour les grands.
Je suis petite, elle risquerait de me tasser très vite. Une question, qui ne te concerne plus depuis que tu es sur le continent des cheveux courts, mais comment porter un gros manteau, écharpe avec des cheveux longs c’est la galère ???
Je regarde dans la rue, peu arrive a gérer l’épreuve. D’ailleurs on parle des pb des cheveux après le bonnet, mais les cheveux avec manteau et écharpe c’est galère aussi, les frottements forment nœuds au niveau de la nuque et j’en passe.
Bref, pour être stylée, la vie pratique pose défis!!!

Je mesure 1m63, donc vraiment pas grande, mais cette veste Acne a été mon meilleur investissement pour affronter les hivers rigoureux nord-américains. Avec un slim et boots à talons, ça passe, enfin je trouve. Bon, j’ai aussi les cheveux très longs, mais l’hiver, c’est chignon bas!
Les cheveux rentrés dans le col du manteau/dans l’écharpe !

Oui, Anne, j’ai découvert ça par l’usage, les cheveux dans le manteau. Sinon les pointes s’abîment vachement , presque plus que l’été à la plage.

I love aviator jackets. My mother had one made in the softest buttery leather and wanted to give it to me. Now I’m gutted I didn’t take it because she doesn’t want to part with it any more.

Le modèle s’appelle velocite, je l’ai en daim crème hihi, impossible de faire plus chaud (et plus lourd aussi, mais il est si beau qu’on en oublie son poids), tu nous diras si tu as craqué ?

C’est marrant comme on la voit partout cette veste, alors qu’elle a été reprise par tous, qu’elle est là depuis des années, et que ce n’est pas la plus originale pour une FW. Mais elle est tellement chaude, cosy et un poil doudou que je ne peux que comprendre les mannequins et fashion editors :)

Cette veste est surtout HORS DE PRIX. Et c’est bien dommage, car on a encore plus peur de se tromper en l’achetant du coup. Si on ne gagne pas un salaire de ministre., c’est comme les Chloe Susanna: on ne prend pas ce risque

In Argentina we call that jacket “gamulan” y absolutely beautiful, but is really heavy too.
You can find the same shearling oversized jackets (called “flight jackets”) in a vintage version, at a milli-percent (is there such a word?) of the full Acne price, in a range of colours from traditioanl all-black, black with cream shearling. toffee brown with matching or contrasting shearling, navy, grey… all on… (email me for the place! If I type it here, everyone will buy them out and/or they’ll skyrocket in price).
I bought an anthracite one with matching shearling on the inside, that looks exactly like the one in the first picture – long and oversized, and unbelievably warm and LIGHTWEIGHT!
OK… it’s ETSY. I actually adore sharing any finds (makes life more meaningful!)… after a little teasing.
The original one had a style name of “Velocite” which I believe still exists, but several other versions/colorways have since existed from Acne. Had my eye on this one for years! <3
