I really admire Reed Krakoff… he’s had an amazing career in fashion, and his label really represents the New York woman. Elegant, sensual, modern.
I’ve known him personally for sometime now, and I’ve wanted to work with creatives that I admire on their favorite objects and things for a while. I thought Reed would be a great first, because he is so discreet yet his world is so inspiring…
Along with him and his team, we worked together to gather his favorite places, things and people — to get a snapshot of him. Here are some of the things that make Reed Krakoff who he is, according to me…

Wondering what your life would look like distilled into 12 pictures :) makes me think about how mine would look too :) interesting project!
I second this – great observation, Suzy. I loved the slideshow .. all those things that sum up RK. Thanks for the great post.

Such a thoughtful and beautifully photographed homage to a great designer. This kind of post actually makes me more likely to purchase an item of the designers because it allows me to see and understand more about his world and how it influences his work. I find this more stimulating and exciting than just seeing pictures of clothes. I also love your perspective which is always part of a great story. There is so much creativity shown in each of these kinds of posts it really puts you way ahead of the pack. Keep it coming!

That blue colour is amazing. Thanks for posting this, brilliant idea!
J’adore cette série, à la fois mode et poétique… Les images sont très belles, et retranscrivent parfaitement l’atmosphère de la marque new-yorkaise !

Love this new section of the blog Garance! The visuals are amazing like always! I would love a little more depth though; would it be prossible for you to inquire why those items are important to the person being featured? This extra level would make this section absolutely amazing!!
C’est devenu inintéressant ton blog Garance…
Il n’y a plus de Pardon my French et tu nous ne dis même pas pourquoi !! On se doit d’avoir une explication non ?
What a nice way to learn more about a designer. I love how you try to find new creative ways of showing things and telling stories. Very inspiring!
Super idée cette nouvelle série!
