In the mood for some weekend reading? Okay, scratch the reading part, but how about some Jane Birkin eye candy? We’ve been flipping through this new little “Family Album” at the studio for the last few days, taking a peek at Jane and Serge’s life together in the 60s and 70s.
The book includes some never before published photos (including some extra cute ones of Charlotte) and comes with a few bonus goodies, like a sheet of stickers (!), photo prints and an embroidered patch… it’s the ultimate long weekend scrapbook.

J’ai honte : suis-je la seule à avoir pensé au “monde du volley-ball” en voyant le titre du livre ? Maintenant, je ne pourrais m’empêcher de faire l’association ! Pourtant très incongru ….
C’est la première chose à laquelle j’ai pensé en voyant le titre. Tu n’est pas seule !

i remember when i saw Antonioni Blow Up first time I saw Jane rolling around……A few year ago on Lafayette…i saw a women bending over a big black bag…when she stood up it was Jane and a old large beat up Birkin……

Ben justement, c’est un album de famille, ça me gêne d’entrer dans l’intimité des gens, même si elle est offerte à la vente (d’autant que ces photos, visiblement, ne sont pas de l’intimité factice genre Paris Match…).
Je suis du même avis, c’est pas un peu tordu d’acheter l’album photo de quelqu’un d’autre? Et un peu vénal de leur part de les vendre.

I got this book for Christmas, it’s wonderful! It’s fascinating to see Jane and Serge through the perspective of Andrew Birkin’s photography, there’s a very intimate feeling to it all.
