Our friend Saada throws a brunch once a month called Everyday People that’s more of a dance party disguised as an all afternoon meal. The energy, the music, the dancing… it’s so much fun!! We stopped by last weekend so we could share a bit of the vibes from the party/brunch.
Saada and her friend Kitty Cash are regulars and warned us that when the party gets going, you can literally feel the floor move. But the best thing to do is join in, get down, and get moving!

In a world you wish you have a darker, smoother skin, strong bone structure and more curls in your head… i’m in love with the colors, the vibes (they have their own) and as an African woman myself (North African) i’m happy that they don’t imitate anyone but themselves as far as they go.

What beautiful photos–looks like a fun party!
I’m so happy to see African American women embracing their natural hair texture– it is so gorgeous next to their beautiful features!
I worked with the public for several months this summer and found that African Americans were my most courteous customers–always warm, polite, friendly, and cheerful, with the most amazing ability to become your BFF instantaneously! :-)

What a fabulous time! Of all the smiles, the dancing, the gorgeous clothes, the flawless style, the thing that strikes me most is the very chill vibe. People are enjoying themselves, relaxed, letting go, having fun. They don’t appear to be worrying about their photo being taken. They don’t appear to be worrying about how they look, or what people might think. How wonderful it would be if we could all be so free and so natural all the time. This is a beautiful, beautiful event.
