Part 4 of our EDIT No. 3 finds us in the sometimes dreaded high-waisted pant variety. Before I lose you, let me begin by saying this is a pant that is not only versatile in ways to wear it, but also great on every body type. And here’s why… in three ways to wear the tallest pant of the season on none other than Giorgia!
The Dress Over Pant
A personal favorite! The trick here is to keep the silhouette of the dress in line with the pant. In this scenario, the waist-cinching pant is perfectly suited with a slim charmeuse tunic belted at the waist. Should you not fancy such closeness in your clothes, a straighter leg pant paired with a loose, knee-length button down shirt is just as cool!
The Feminine Top
A delicate top and pant couldn’t look better than here as Giorgia wears it. The combination of a blouse that hints at the skin under and a simple heel with a twist of detail will never get old. A true classic and ever as nice when worn with a tailored slack, possibly with pleats, that sits right at the belly button!
The Coat & Tee Combo
When it gets cold, there’s no better pant to feel warm in (it is covering more area, after all!). And there’s no better coat to wear over said pant than a massive wool peacoat! What I love about the Autumn weather, is you can actually wear just a t-shirt under a coat for a little while. A high-waisted jean would be great here, too!
So there it is, a brief discovery of the pant reaching new heights this fall! Will you trade in your britches for a nipped-in waist?

J’aime beaucoup le pantalon taille haute, je trouve qu’il allonge la silhouette ! (ce qui est pas mal pour les petites comme moi :) ). Par contre je ne vois pas vraiment l’utilité du pantalon taille haute sous une robe…
En tout cas Giorgia est magnifique !

J’adore ! Et personnellement je trouve que c’est LA tendance facile à adopter, et qu’est-ce qu’on est mieux dans un taille haute ! Plus à l’aise, les petits ventres sont camouflés et la taille est marquée, quoi de plus féminin ?
Pour ma part j’adore le jeans noir taille haute avec des escarpins et une chemise, ça marche à tous les coups, chemise rayée, à imprimé, unie, décolletée…. et quand on ajoute un manteau camel, grenat, beige, kaki…. c’est parfait !
Tout est élégant et stylé avec Giorgia. Elle a tellement de présence! Mon Edit préféré. Très beau travail Brie et Erik xxx

I love all of these looks! I actually just wore a dress over pants to an event last week and got many compliments on it! I’ll definitely be doing that more often! As a shorter person, I find it hard to find a good pair of high waisted pants that is still flattering. If you had any recs that would be great :)

Ok, you bought me :) I have never seen high waisted trousers looking better than in this editorial. All these looks are very sublime and elegant.
The only problem is that I will not dare going barefoot in November (yep, it’s around the corner) outside my bathroom and bedroom. I love all these looks, where a massive coat is in oposition to delicate slingbacks, but I cannot imagine the weather permitting me for such combo.
Bravo Brie and Erik!!! What a wonderful and useful editorial! I love high waisted trousers too! I only have a little question: are the heels _really_ necessary? They look great of course, but I can’t wear them (and I am not tall unfortunately)…. I wonder: can these looks be successful with flats too?

Hi Lucia! Of course – I rarely wear heels, Giorgia is keen on them however. I might suggest a simple pointed toe flat or more angular flat boot as options! x

La premiere fois que j’ai vu une photo de Giorgia, elle portait une robe bustier et je l’avais trouvee superbe. Sur ces photos (bravo Erik !), je la trouve encore plus belle et tres elegante. Le pantalon taille haute (ou juste a la taille) accentue la longueur et la finesse de ses jambes. J’adore la 4eme photo.

Je trouve ça super beau. Sur elle et sur moi. Mais par contre, je trouve pas toujours ça hyper confort, on est quand même emprisonnée de la taille avec un pantalon comme ça. Plus qu’une solution : se tenir bien droite. Adieu le vautrage sur canapé !

la taille haute est tellement plus confortable, fini la sensation d’être sciée en deux au niveau du ventre quand on s’assoit. on n’aperçoit pas le bas du dos quand on se baisse, Et de toute façon trop taille basse c’est complètement démodé, non ?
Quelque saisons d’ici, la veste sur le pantalons l’avont propose Marc Jacobs et Prada mais je ne voyaies personne qui les portait, l’ensemble etait très très beau en tout cas!
