For our third EDIT, we thought we’d take a little bit of a different approach to fall and all of the trends it has to offer. Garance and I talked about what we wanted to feature, and realized the best way to present these fashion stories was on some of our favorite girls seen on the blog over the years. Women we adore, and women you’ve come to know.
For Part 1, Bailey was the perfect girl to talk to you about easy dressing! Those casual, cool looks that create the ultimate, effortlessly chic attitude… But are also completely uncomplicated. Mostly because the majority of pieces on Bailey are knits, jerseys, and more slouchy than tailored. I think there’s three real ideas here to consider:
A dress you can throw on without having to contort your body to zip it up. Something long with a low neckline and flowing silhouette. Elegant without even trying, especially with a cardigan for cool evenings.
A knit skirt with a split! I’m the last person to think a knit skirt might work (ever!), but a style that hits at the knees and can allow for movement is really, surprisingly superb. Worn with heels (Garance’s touch of course :) ) it becomes sophisticated, even when worn with a cool army green – toned tee.
A loose wool slack worn low and at the hips. It’s sort of that moment when you want to show skin, feel comfortable and confident, but don’t feel inclined to wear a bandage dress. That to me is really what sensual, easy dressing is: a cashmere sweater and trousers and THOSE Gucci fur-lined loafers. (Hearts in eyes over here).
So there it is! The first part of the series we’ll be presenting over the next few weeks! Stay tuned and hope you like the stories and women that keep us inspired through the season!

Who is this beautiful lady? That smile…

Thank you thank you for showing us a woman outside of the normal body type we typically see on this page. She is more along the lines of my measurements and I can really see myself in these styles! Fabulous!! And I LOVE that knit skirt. xo
I have the exact same though!
I love how she styled these looks

Agree with Jessica about the body type…thank you! However, those Gucci fur-lined loafers, no…just…no. They remind me of Alf or Cousin It and all I can imagine is after a few wearings the end of the fur will get dirty and matted. I do love the closed back loafer version of that shoe though.
Oh, this is so beautiful!
I totally love it!

Yes, I love that Bailey looks athletic and strong, and the clothes look awesome on her. Look at those black high heels!
Love.

Hats (stylish floppy felt or fedora) to Erik here for his stunning photography! Granted, he had a gorgeous subject to shoot but these photos tell a story beautifully. Well done you!
I was just going to say the same thing as Jessica. I know in your industry it’s the standard, but nice to see someone who looks fit and healthy.
She is beautiful! Please continue to do stories featuring “real” women (not only models). It is so much better to see clothes on people with different body types.
She’s gorgeous and real and fit! So inspiring…beautiful clothes, also. Thank you for showing fashion with real beauty standards!
dang, this is beautiful! she is beautiful! the clothes are bangin! agree with the others, great to see a person this shape, but the styling is also terrific. glamorous but approachable, stylish and comfortable. you really hit the nail on the head with this one. inspirational! xoxoxo
A twist to the regular fashion edits.

A beautiful lady ..i just think that some of your looks are not the best for her..i don’t think that it’s flattering to any woman standing with your belly half naked ….

Make-up credits please! Gorgeous blush and lip colours……<3
Fantastic! The styling, the individual pieces and the photography. BUT..most of all the beautiful model. I hate that I (or any of us) even feel the need to mention that she is of a more “average” size…for what is average? Sadly what we are usually shown (even here – sorry) are models who are much thinner than most women, especially those of us who are athletic and whose bodies manifest that. Apologies…but while I’m at it…it would also be great to see women of different ages. Thanks tkp
beautiful!! agree with all the comments re body type. so refreshing so beautiful so relatable. thank you.
Great edit! Lovely story

Wonderful!!! This has brought me back to the fold! My attention was starting to wander. Sorry…the boyfriend filled posts are sweet, but I have a great guy at home too, so they weren’t that interesting to me after a while. But this post, with fashion that is wearable by lots of body types; and affordable (similar items can be found at various price ranges) – while still being super, super chic, has returned my interest to the blog! Thanks.
Haaaannn ! JE VEUX CETTE JUPE !
If I looked like that young woman, I could wear a burlap sack and still look gorgeous (in Birkenstocks, no less). I agree with some of the comments–feature some women of a certain age! Love your blog but older women can also be very stylish!
I love these looks, but really wish fur wasn’t featured. There are clearly unlimited opportunities to look effortless and beautiful without causing unnecessary and incredible suffering in the process.
I agree that promoting fur in 21st century is unnecessary. Not to mention those loafers are plain ugly. Otherwise I like the styling. I didn’t even notice the model was “normally” sized.
Love these looks a lot! Trouble is in Spring at the moment and you’ve got me all excited about next year. Love Bailey’s gorgeous smile and, even better, real life beautiful smile lines. Brava!
I love it!!!
So easy and stylish at the same time
I love the looks and the remarakble face of your model. Great ideas!
One thing though and, please, someone tell me I am not crazy! I find the Gucci loafers to be a bit of a joke, not comfy, super hot inside and umf… am I the only one out there???!!!
sO BEAUTIFUL PICTURES AND GIRLS, LIKE THE POST ;)

I fell in love with the skirt look, that’s what power dressing means to me at this point. An outfit at the border of elegance and casual style, accompanied by the right, mesmerizing attitude! Great one! xo

Such a beautiful shoot…
