Last week during fashion week, kids were also going back to school in New York, and on my way home from the Ralph Lauren show, I ran into Sari and Meghan.
In the middle of all the excitement of the week, I really liked getting back to the idea of a chic, everyday look. Chic, comfortable, elegant, and real. It’s nice to see, right?

Great photo and great style.Thank you for publishing a post on Moms. I love the denim dress with the boots and the chic long skirt with birkenstock. Being a maman myself it is always great to find posts that shows ideas how to look great pushing a pram.
I actually become an addict of birkenstock the whole summer. They are great to have when you spend most of the day on a playground. It also forced me to look after my feet and made sure they had always a nice pedicure.
The discovery of how to wear birkenstock in stylish way was of course through one of your great post on Birkenstock. You and your team are a great inspiration daily. Thank you!!!

Stylish mothers! And to those thinking that when you have kids your body changes and you get fat and you lose…I dont know what…it’s not true! If you were stylish before, you’ll be stylish after the baby as well, and if you had a nice bod, that wont change either :)
The both look great! It’s so hard to be chic and stylish every day – especially if you’re home with young kids. But this is what we all need – flexible, comfortable, hard-wearing, easy-care clothes that also look great! I’m really trying to spend the majority of my budget this year on “everyday” clothes rather than special occasion stuff. I’m easily seduced by beautiful smart clothes but they don’t really suit my lifestyle. Now I wear much more Acne and other more casual labels.

Great photo – so these moms also have school age children? I would have loved to have seen them as well – it is soooo hard to look good when you are either dropping off at 8AM or picking up 3PM and you have a couple kids in tow. You must have made their day! xxxx

A ce stade de la journée, quand t’es une vraie maman,
– tu t’es déjà changée trois fois parce que avant de sortir prendre la pose avec les copines, Mini Moi a renversé son bol de céréales, vomi, puis éternué sur tes successives tenues chic
– mis tes lunettes de soleil pour cacher tes cernes d’enfer, non parce qu’il y a du soleil, mais parce que Mini Moi t’a au minimum réveillé 5 fois dans la nuit parce qu’ “il y a un monstre sous le lit , “je peux pas dormir”, “j’ai soif”, “où est doudou “, ” j’ai encore soif ! ” et qu’à 4 h 30 t’as définitivement compris que tu ne dormirais plus…
– ruiné deux ongles et trois phalanges en dépliant cette P.D.M. de poussette pliante et qui veut le rester
– confondu le dentifrice avec la crème pour fesses irritées ce qui te donne un sourire crispé pour le reste de la journée…
Après tout ça, oui, t’es prête pour la photo…
Mais comment font-elles? J’aimerais tellement pouvoir me sentir aussi classe et cool à la sortie de l’école… C’est ma bonne résolution de la rentrée.

Lovely!! This post is the best – the moms look so happy, healthy, and chic. I can relate to this post much better than any runway fashion post. (Although I enjoy those too.) :-)
J’adore voir des mamans stylées et bien dans leur peau. Comme quoi c’est a la portee de toutes. Pas besoin d’avoir des fringues de designers il suffit de se faire plaisir avec son propre style et de ne pas s’oublier! Parole de jeune maman!

Garance! Ça fait plaisir de voir des mamans dans tes posts! Et quelles mamans! Súpers styles cools/simples! Et puis un accessoire de mode incontestable c’est évidemment LA poussette : ici la bugaboo à droite! Qui est la reine à NY! (100% recommendable d’ailleurs! J’en profite! pour une fois qu’il y a un poste pour les mamans! Garance prends note! hehe) mais l’accessoire mode N1 (indiscutablement) ce sont nos cheres têtes blondes! ;)

Alors oui, pas évident de ressembler tous les jours à ça (selon certains/es) quand dès le matin on court pour l’école, que nos monstres ont mal dormi (= nous aussi), tout ça tout ça.
Étant une positiviste dans l’âme (il y a toujours deux façons de voir les choses, right ?) ce que je trouve super c’est qu’elles ont le smile (déjà – et ça pas besoin de surfer sur le web pour l’acquérir) et surtout leurs tenues collent parfaitement avec la touche “Mum” (constamment activée, même au boulot, kes tu crois).
Bref cette photo = bonheur, cohérence, beauté ; comment ne pas aimer ?!
De mon expérience, ne pas se “laisser (trop) aller” vestimentairement parlant, s’accorder 5 petites minutes pour choisir sa tenue (à l’aise/ pratique pour le marathon et qui nous fasse nous sentir bien) – certes ça peut prendre du temps à intégrer dans l’agenda (quand on gère une tribu aussi), mais c’est avant tout pour soi qu’il faut le faire.
On décide seul de ce à quoi on veut ressembler (il faut pas se prendre plus la tête :).
