Do you remember my friend Jessica Barensfeld ?
She lives in Brooklyn, works at home, has a looooot of green plants (I can’t personnaly keep one alive for more than two weeks), makes beautiful jewelry, has a cat (my dream), an Isabel Marant jumpsuit, wears clogs, surfs in Montauk in the summer with her boyfriend and in short, she kind of lives the Brooklyn dream life.

Hummm ça a l’air bien tout ça. Sa maison a l’air si… zen. Les plantes pour moi c’est pareil, je n’arrive pas à en garder vivantes, sauf à Los Angeles où tout poussait tout seul….

Super appart ! Si jamais tu te décides pour le chat, nous avons adoptée la notre chez Ollie’s place, un refuge pour chat dans l’East Village, où tu peux aller jouer avec eux (et y passer des heures si tu veux !) avant de te décider… ou simplement pour avoir ton “fix”.
Oh mon dieu! Je veux tout! Je veux son appartement, sa déco, ses plantes, sa combi, ses cheveux…
L’endroit a l’air très agréable, lumineux… :)

What is the Brooklyn dream life? I live in Manhattan and I thought I had the dream life! Wonderful man, wonderful apartment, everything (including clogs AND an Isabel Marant playsuit too!) I could possibly want. I feel so blessed every day. Can you further explain what the difference is between the Brooklyn & Manhattan dream lives? Is the Brooklyn dream life a little more crunchy, as portrayed on Portlandia?

Love all the light, all the white, and yes, all the plants! I bought my first two plants in years a month ago and they’re already dead. I swear I did a good job with them, and they made me so happy I thanked them every time I looked over, but still, they died. I wish I weren’t such a plant-killer. Sigh.

Je suis jalouse de ses pouces verts (entre autres choses^^)…
Jessie est exactement la New-Yorkaise qu’on imagine, saine et cool, joyeuse mais sage, jolie, audacieuse, souriante… du moins c’est l’image que tu en donnes mais si ça se trouve, elle ne ressemble pas du tout à ça ;)
Son appart est trop chouette pour que ce ne soit pas une vraie gentille…
Et oui, continue de nous faire visiter la grosse pomme depuis l’intérieur des appartements, c’est ce que je préfère !

Ahh, same here! Rien ne ressort vivant de chez moi. J’ai meme réussi a faire périr un cactus.
Pour me rassurer, je me dis que sans plantes, au moins, personne me vole mon oxygène (oui, j’ai la grande peur de m’asphyxier pendant mon sommeil, victime d’une flore maléfique).
