Loving this men’s suit simply worn with a vintage blouse and a fur collar.
[I photographed Lara at the Marlton, a hotel that just opened two blocks away from my apartment and I’m spending my life there. It’s the perfect place to go write by the fireplace and have meetings. The exact thing I need around. Too bad it’s also at the exact moment we’re moving!]
Would you wear an ensemble like that? Not sure it works on me, but I sure love it.

Which reminds me, I wanted to ask if you would maybe write a post on how to put together simple and chic outfits with key pieces. Like, with oversized coats, skinny jeans, sweaters. I’m looking for a way to look classy but effortless – and for it to be effortless as well. From what I’ve seen, you know how to do that.

Thank you ! I love this bar atmosphere as well – it changes from street pictures! During short and cold winter days we spend more time inside so why not at the bar ;)

Les billets sont signes au debut – c’est tres bien fait (d’ailleurs pour l’instant j’aime bien tous les changements sur le blog:)). Mais ce serait encore mieux si les signatures etaient visibles sur la page principale. Ce serait bcp plus clair.
Sinon, j’adore la photo et j’adore le style pique a nos hommes:) meme si cette tenue… j’oserais pas, mais peut-etre…:)

The suit is really cool! But with this kind suit you can be put in the “back to the 90s” category really fast.

This looks like a perfect androgen outfit ; the fur makes it feminine and in Lara’s case her long hair gives the total look that something extra.
But I’m pretty sure it would work with a cropped pixie hairdo too ; hence some killer heels et voilà !

La vraie question est: Qu’est-ce qui ne te vas pas…
Un jour je suis allé dans une boutique avec un pote pour le conseiller sur l’achat d’un costume (le mariage d’un de ses très bon amis). Il est gauler comme un modèle donc tout tombe parfaitement bien sur lui, mais il incarne pas tout ce qu’il porte… C’est sûre que plein de choses peuvent tomber super bien sur toi mais si c’est pas ton style, tu sera mal à l’aise et tu seras nul… Résultat il a acheté un costume HB super bien stylé que sa copine ADORAIT qu’il à pas porté… J’y suis pour rien, puis qu’il à mis celui que je lui avait recommandé.
Morale: Il faut pas faire ses courses avec sa copine qui penses qu’à nous déguiser…

I have some tailor made men’s suits from London , an extra long x x large white shirt from Margiela and a great curly afghan fur neck /shall piece that I pack everywhere I go…..to wear during the day like in your pix, or to dress up and soften a masculine look at night
I think those extra touches makes this look girlier , sexier and less “total look men’s suit ”
I also sometimes replace the white shirt by an old tatty holey x x large rock concert t shirt

I would definitely wear this look, if it was cold enough where I live to even wear a jacket and fur around my neck. Je suis justement dans ma grande période tunique blanche que j’achète sur les puces et que je porte oversize avec la magnifique bague fleur diamant de chez Piaget. Le but est de paraitre élégante et décontractée avec un bijou imposant sans faire “rombière”.
Y a t’il une marque de chemises blanches genre gros coton que tu pourrais me conseiller ?
