It’s become known around the atelier that I’m the resident literati—I can’t get enough of books, mostly of the fiction sort. And during the summer, my favorite guilty pleasure is buying books at the town grocery store in Cape Cod (well that, and the orange whip milkshakes I drink every day which don’t really help with fulfilling my #swimsuitgoals). I stock up at the start of every summer and then spend the following weeks getting totally lost in stories that range from pure fluff to deep psychology (as one does in Wellfleet).

A Beauty Minute with Mara Hoffman
Morning: My morning routine is pretty simple; I always start with a big glass of lukewarm water to cleanse my body before consuming anything else. Then, I use a Joanna Vargas face wash and I’ll put on some SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Vitamin C serum. Next, I do either the La Mer Oil Absorbing Lotion or another moisturizer mixed with EltaMD SPF 45, followed by this really great organic wild plum undereye cream. Then I’ll use Milk Makeup Sunshine Skin Tint on my nose and cheeks followed by a little YSL mascara and Caudalie chapstick.
