I don’t think there is a retailer out there that has brought me more joy or inspiration than Lisa Says Gah. I’ve been following Lisa Bühler and her team for a couple of years now and I’ve always been charmed by their aesthetic. The Lisa Says Gah girl, at least in my mind, is cool, stylish, feminine, a bit quirky, and always approachable. I could, well actually I have, spent hours scrolling through their site.
So I was excited when we got to take a little sneak peak into their universe out in San Francisco. I thought that the joy and exuberance with which the Gah team savors and shares fashion fit perfectly into our freedom theme for the month…
What is the ethos of Lisa Says Gah? What guides you when shopping for the store?
Elements of a fresh new design, a vintage reference, sustainability practices, a woman behind the brand… all add up to a “gah” moment when we curate for the shop.
I’m always learning about new designers from you guys! How do you find them?
We travel to New York, LA, locally in SF, and internationally to meet with new brands. It varies from fashion weeks and trade-shows to Instagram discoveries!
When it comes to style, what is most important to you: comfort, beauty or innovation?
Beautiful design and comfort.
What is your ideal outfit or uniform?
A dress with a third piece, like a blazer, earrings, a good lipstick and comfy shoes.

I can’t pick just one. I admire my team of talented women who support me and LSG every day, the designers we stock are all women. Collectively, these ladies give me confidence that we can do anything we set our hearts to do!
