You know that game where you have to choose just a few things to take to a desert island? I used to love this one!! Well, let’s say you can only pick one beauty item?
I was torn between concealer and mascara (hereditary bags but lashes are my thing), but ultimately chose mascara (emphasize the good!). There’s nothing like mascara to make the face look more awake, and I love how you can keep layering for a thicker look at night time.
I always start with a super natural, thin coating to just accentuate the lashes. But at night time, well… let’s just say I’m all in. I really go for it with the mascara wand.
I suppose a razor would probably be a good idea too (that’s Emilia’s choice)!

Ma poudre! et sinon mon mascara aussi :) c’est difficile de n’en choisir qu’un seul, j’espère ne jamais avoir à le faire! Mais bon, sur une île déserte personne à part les tortues ne pourrait apprécier mes longs cils ou mon teint :p

Sur mon ile deserte perso, ya du soleil, donc exit les fonds de teint et autre blush (d’autant plus que mes taches de rousseurs font bien leur job une fois que le soleil pointe le bout de son nez). Du coup, mascara direct ! Avec mes cils clairs, c’est un indispensable, je ne sors jamais sans … Mais a bien y reflechir, le rasoir … Bon, je me ferai une epilation laser avant de partir ;)
Yeah, without mascara my eyelashes are pretty much invisible. So mascara is my main thing, too.
If lotions and creams also fall into the beauty category, then a good cream would be my pick. I spent my last super low maintenance summer holiday with absolutely no make up products and I must say, with a good tan and moisturized skin I survived pretty well. I did have a razor, though… Could I wax or do laser treatments before being cast to a deserted island? Then I’d be all good.

I choose a gigantic tub of Argan oil.
Definitely moisturizer, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion by Clinique in travel size is always with me.
I would love to say mascara or a red lipstick. But more likely a cream or serum or even my trish mac brightening stick it covers most anything!

Just one? I will have to go with lip balm, or sunscreen….wait, what sort of things will be in this place? is it tropical or arid? Vegetation? landlocked? THIS is why I over pack. Always.

I am seriously struggling/debating between Ouidad Curl Quencher Conditioner or Gel – I guess I will go with Conditioner and not rinse it, if need be ;)

Since I would be rejoining society at some point, I would take a good sunscreen.
Perfume. I would choose my signature, Carnal Flower.
I love my mascara, for sure, but I’d be all about some sunscreen! Preferably light, non-clogging, but still moisturising (that sand will dry you out!) and with something revitalising. I’d want to walk onto that ship when I’m rescued just glowing from the sun, salt water, wild foods (I’m guessing nothing processed on the island) and my skin so healthy from the make-up hiatus.
I’d say shampoo. I hate greasy hair… And even if your face looks flawess, when your hair looks bad… the look is just not good.

Hummm super difficult one. For a desert island I will probably take sunscreen if I was alone, and a razor if I was accompanied by a man, hahahaha. But my ultimate beauty item is a concealer for sure, I have huge black circles.

Call me practical but ONE product? Aquaphor!!! It’s a moisturizer, cut soother, brow groomer, lash enhancer, lip balm all in one! Even a tiny bit emulsified and pressed into the face and under the eyes works in a pinch!

Neada, for bags, you should try iloveskininc! I have them too-always and much worse when I am tired. I tried the serum for other purposes, actually forgetting the promise to help bags until I noticed a significant improvement. I still have them but they are lighter. I feel much more comfortable wearing (literally) no make up now (ok on days when I have a good night’s rest).
