My First Paris Fashion Week
11 years ago by
Like Alex said, we love reminiscing about our favorite fashion memories at the Studio. Since we just arrived in Paris, I thought I would share memories of my first Paris fashion week with you.
One year ago last week I found myself sitting in the Studio at 8pm, watching the live stream of the Proenza Schouler show.
I watched the looks walk down the runway and waited for Garance and our Pardon My French crew to make their way back to the studio. When they arrived, Garance asked to speak with me in the other room. All I could think was, “Crap! I must have messed something up! Why else would she pull me aside like this?”
A few minutes later I found out I’d be going with the team to Paris to help with Pardon My French.
I couldn’t help but jump, cry and hug everyone in sight. My childhood dreams were coming true and I was doing something at age 22 I had been certain I’d have wait until I was 40 to do.
A week later we landed in Paris and into a world of fashion that completely swept me off my feet. The show venues were grand (Vuitton at the Louvre, no biggie), the collections were dreamy (Valentino, oh how you make me swoon!), and the parties were in a word: fabulous (I still find confetti from the Lanvin party in my shoes).
We worked long days, pulled all-nighters and there was an occasional tear or two (it wouldn’t be fashion without some tears), but every time we touch down at Charles de Gaulle, I can’t help but feel the flutter in my stomach as I think of the shows. They are a fashion fantasy come true. I can’t wait to share this season with you!
Aww , this is all so cute !

It really does sound like a dream! Living in Argentina makes me feel sooooo far from accomplishing that…
