I love matte nails!!! And thanks for telling us about this product… cause I was wondering whether I should ditch my nail polish collection over a matte one, or still use it with a “twist”!

Agree. I like Butter London’s matte finish as well. The matte seems to last longer than Essie’s IMO.

Love them! I have the Rimmel matte topcoat and it works perfectly too. Also love combining matte and glossy like in the photo, though to be honest I don’t usually have the time for such an involved mani!

Le vernis mat c’est moins bling bling que le brillant; comme les sacs ou les escarpins en cuir mat sont moins ostentatoires que les brillants… je prefère

Très joli le vernis mat !! Ca semble beaucoup plus évident et plus subtil que le brillant au final (je dis au final car je ne connaissais pas) (je ne porte pas de vernis).

J’adore “matte about you” ma combinaison preferee c’est de le mettre sure essie – navigate her. j’aime l’utiliser sure des couleurs pastel.

What i really love in this pic of ELLE Mag is the blend of the matt side and the glossy one! I am not a matt nail polish fan, in fact i am found of glossy because is more glamour and feminine and gives the hand a subtle elegance but this photo is so perfect and changed my mind hmmm i think the shade of pink used plays a key role!

I also love matte nails, I am using OPI’s topcoat and tried the same look with black nailpolish, really great.

I haven’t tried yet, but I guess I should! Anyway, I’m a red, pink or coral kind of girl. Blues, greens, yellows and all that jazz… not for me!

I love them – I’ve been using Essie Matte About You as well and I love it. I particularly love the contrast between matte and shiny – that’s one I haven’t tried yet!

I only ever wear Essie nail polish and I’ve seen this one but never used it! I’m a bit scared as I love shiny nails. BUT like you, I am in love with that photo. I want that manicure!!

Pour moi c’est un peu selon l’humeur : le top coat mat si je veux être discrète ou bien le top coat brillant si je veux… briller!

I love the matte nail look. But it fades away so fast. I’ve ben using the matte top coat by Chanel.
I must try a combined look for my nails, just like in the picture, so cool!

I used to matte my nails back in high school! Maybelliene used to have a matte topcoat many years ago. I think the old bottle is still at my parent’s house. I love the look with shiny tips.

I use the Essie topcoat – but it wears off/gets shiny after a couple of days, so fresh coats are needed.

My favourite way to wear the matte look is over a sparkle-filled nail polish. When you have a nail totally covered in sparkles – but then covered in matte topcoat it plays tricks on your eyes (you know it should be shiny…but it’s not…hmmm) and creates a multi-dimensional look.

J’ai découvert il y a peu qu’on pouvait trouver du top coat matifiant ! Du coup c’est super pratique pour matifier les vernis qu’on a déjà ! Juste une petite info pour tes 100 vernis ;)

I always do my own nails and matte nails worry me. I’m scared that it’ll end up looking like it was “undone” or “unpolished” (forgive the pun). But I’m loving the matte & polished spin in the elle picture. Very modern twist on a traditional french tip.

Je sais que cela parle de vernis mais le fard à paupière qu’elle porte où le trouver??? J’en cherche depuis des années..

not fan of mat but love ESSiE and their brush as well as OPI even if less good for nail.
