Ganni Western Jacket

Earlier this month I was lucky enough to take a long trip out West. My boyfriend and I drove from Boulder, CO, to Phoenix, AZ, over the course of 10 days, making stops along the way. It was amazing! But more on the actual trip later. Right now I just want to talk about the fashion inspiration that is currently occupying my mind, and it’s cowboys! Yep, you read that right, I am into all things cowboy.
It’s actually not all that surprising since Western style has been popping up on the runways for a few seasons now (thank you and farewell to Raf Simon’s Calvin Klein, among others), but I was startled to see myself wanting to jump into the metaphorical saddle. My translation of the trend, however, is a little more subtle and a little less rodeo. Think cowboy-inspired details, like the fringe on this Ganni jacket that I’ve been crushing on. I think it would go perfectly with some black cowboy boots and a pair of jeans. Yee haw!
