Dallas Cocktails & Conversation
6 years ago by
A few weeks ago, we hosted a wonderful community event in Los Angeles with Women & Whiskies where we got to hang out with some of you, listen to Garance and Bo Carney of Mohawk General Store share their creative journeys and share our own stories of empowerment.
Now, we’re taking this show on the road and are heading to Dallas next week with Women & Whiskies for another community event with the brilliant entrepreneurs and co-founders of Dallas’ own, The Citizenry, Carly Nance and Rachel Bentley!
Join our very own editor, Veronica McCarthy, who will be chatting with Carly and Rachel at Bourbon & Banter at the Statler Hotel on Thursday, 11/8, from 6:30 – 8:30pm for an exciting evening. The event is free but be sure to RSVP because seats are limited!

Inspired by their travels and artisans they met, Carly and Rachel created The Citizenry in hopes of sharing the beautiful craftsmanship they encountered while directly empowering the artisans they work with. The Citizenry is a socially conscious decor brand that partners with master artisans the world over to create unique designs blending local materials and time-tested techniques with a modern style. With a focus on supporting the artisans they work with, they invest 10% of their proceeds back into those communities through their Entrepreneur Development Grants which enable the artisans to take their businesses to new heights.
These events are a way for us to bring our community together and to meet and mingle with local entrepreneurs who are making a name for themselves, building their own communities and inspiring and empowering others along the way. When we decided on Dallas as our next destination, we knew Carly and Rachel were a natural fit. Veronica McCarthy will be moderating a conversation with Carly and Rachel where the three women will chat about the path to creating their brand and the importance and support that comes from building these communities.
We look forward to hosting our “Cocktails + Conversation” series with Women & Whiskies each year because not only do we get to bring our editorial stories to life; but we get to meet you, our readers, IRL, and introduce you to each other. So we hope you can join us next week… We promise an inspiring night of conversation, delicious whiskey beverages, snacks, and the chance to make new friends, talk shop and discover new connections.
