As soon as I saw these ads, I thought about the way Miley Cyrus wears her hair when she’s off-duty…
All excited about my story (I love the moment when the new ad campaigns roll out) I was showing it around the studio, “Look!!! Doesn’t it look like Miley Cyrus??” and the only thing I heard was, “Mmmm, no?”….
Do you know what immediately came the minds of the team at the Studio ?
The Fintstones.
Ok so I never watched the Flintstones (ah, the culture gap strikes us at the most unlikely moments… !) but I can totally see what they’re saying !!! Even if, I can totally see what I’m saying with Miley as well.
So, what do you think, Flintstones or Miley ?

Je pense que j’en peux plus de voir Miley Cyrus de partout et que je n’aime pas du tout cette pub Chanel qui s’inspire d’elle (je connais pas la famille Pierrafeu, aha). J’aime bien le retour du chouchou (mes années de gymnastique rythmique et justaucorps/chouchou me reviennent), mais pas porté en palmier comme si on avait deux ans et demi.
Sinon je voulais te souhaiter une excellente année 2014 Garance et à ton équipe de folie également (Alex, I love your beauty posts soooo much). Je suis une fervente lectrice depuis bien 6 ans déjà et ce n’est pas prêt de s’arrêter. ;)

Bon je ne trouve pas vraiment qu’elle ressemble à Miley pour être honnête, mais la mannequin a une attitude, du caractère, j’aime bien.

Really don’t Like what Chanel is doing in those time..Seems like they want to make feel the brand cheaper and younger. But I don’t identify myself in It ! With all the money that cost those stuff, I want a really Glamour Image…
As a big Chanel fan I can only add there’s something not right here ; the collection is apparently made to attract 20-something girls but do you ever see a 22 year old girl wearing an outfit shown in the picture above ?

I like what Marc Jacobs did ; he got the real Miley in front of his lens and those pictures are great !
I think the target group he’s aming at will reach more young girls than any Chanel advert will.

J’adore le palmier, j’adore le chouchou, mais Miley n’a inventé ni l’un ni l’autre. Pour moi on peut trouver cette campagne incroyable sans devoir penser à Miley, et heureusement ;)

Definitely Miley, since she’s more of the now. Flintstones are not as talked about as she is right now. Although, I like Flintstones much better than Miley :P
