This is such a vibrant take on ballet.
We’re all kind of in love with this video, and have had it on repeat in the Studio.
The way that other styles of dance are incorporated and how it has a very intimate, local point of view makes for such beautiful viewing. It really looks at dance as a way of forming community.
It’s a music video for band Fantasma who said they chose this storyline because they’ve “seen how modern dance and ballet has offered kids another reality.”
Cool, right? And the Afro-beat tunes are pretty great too…

I love this. It is filmed in South Africa. There is so much happening there. I love the contrast between the beautiful Ballet & the harsh reality of the Township (or Shanty town)
