I don’t get it at all. Silly.
When I see these straps, especially the one on the extreme right, I think of Nobuyoshi Araki’s photos of kinbaku or Japanese erotic bondage.

I don’t know how anyone can find this trend hard to wear as it’s super easy and comes natural in a feminine aesthetic. I prefer it on a skirt or robe chemise, but even for cropped pants, it’s a nice detail.

The look on the far right takes me back to one of my favorite childhood movies: The Little Mermaid. Does anyone else see the outfit that Scuttle made for Ariel out of a sail and some rope? The look in the photo is obviously a lot cooler than Ariel’s “dress”, though.
