Red!

Red! The color of love! (just in time for Valentine’s day!) I’ve always found it hard to wear it head-to-toe, although Andreea wore it so well! It screams attention … look at me! Marilyn Monroe, Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman or Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina all come to mind.
It would be hard not to notice someone in a crimson look, so it seems the easiest and safest way to sport that brilliant hue is in small doses. A pop of red here , a pop of red there….
There are so many great ways to wear red, here’s Hedvig, Pernille and Jessica to show us just a few!

Red is so great for the cold winter. And I love red clothes.
Beautiful photos!

It’s not only the color but the shape…it has to be a bit sexy mysterious…it should tell a story about the lady behind the red
it can also be just a red lipstick…
it can be an attitude…this images which are nice doesn’t inspire love or speak love…

Excellent post – LOVE seeing the red. I just walked away from terrific pair red shoes recently not having enough nerve.. BTW, I cannot PIN any of these photos, despite the Pin It icon in the corner – can you fix that? Thank you.
That vermillion sweater and boot combo against the pale pants is so fresh!
It’s pretty hot here right now – thirty seven/forty degrees Celsius. So, wearing red for me will be in tiny doses- a bright red, soft Marie Turnor Lunch leather clutch (they’re so nice! And you can throw them inside a small backpack or your usurps daytime tote, they’re so fine and supple), and a red T-shirt or singlet with lightweight, baggy khaki pants and black and yellow sneakers.
Vermillion is one of my favourite colours, and a shade I’d happily don from head-to-ankle (I don’t have any cool red boots) on any given day, because all-red always makes me feel like Santa, which equals “happy”.
Beautiful! :)

The Northern Light is in da House!!!
Really cool Photos !
For everyday, I’m a fan of the pop of red in the shoe, bag, or scarf :) Otherwise, my current fav statement red-wearing piece is the evening gown. OUI.

Love that bright re, especially in winter, when we are used to wearing black!
It brings a touch of color!!!

faut pas avoir peur de la couleur comme ça, pensez aux Brésiliennes, aux Italiennes, fool of colors !… ;-)
J’adore les escarpins rouges !
I like the fit of the sweater outfit in the very top photo and the color of the darker red boots in the 2nd photo.
it is challenging for me to wear red. it almost feel too loud or too strongly asking for attention (I don’t know why that sounds weird). I like slightly more subtle reds like burgandy, which is moving towards purple or brown.
I’m loving the coral reds, fuchsia reds, so interesting and vibrant! Lovely contrast to a winter sky! And of course a red lip to brighten my day! ;) Thanks Garance for my daily inspiration to be glamorous and be me! <3 Annaliese
Gros coup de coeur pour la seconde tenue! J’aime beaucoup les chaussures.

People have always told me “red is your color”. I’m happy it’s “in” this season. Takes courage to wear it sometimes (like workout class).

Red is the new makeup !
J’aime beaucoup le rouge. Sauf l’espèce de serpillère que porte la dame de la première photo. ça ressemble furieusement au pull du Père Noël est une ordure, en moins drôle…

That’s not Jessica – it’s Tine Andrea from ‘The Fashion Eaters’!

Hello Garance Dore Team.
I have always loved red, but it’s so difficult to find the right shade for my skin color. I like the idea of using just a pop of color here and there.Very inspiring :)
Also I saw a small mistake in the article above: the girl on the second picture isn’t called Jessica, but its the lovely and cool Tine Andrea ;) This is her blog: http://www.thefashioneaters.com/
