Flower Power

Remember when we talked about wanting to toughen up those fragile floral printed dresses with a solid winter coat when it was -15 degrees? Well, it’s six months later and finally time to shed the layers and bare all… or perhaps just the toes.

In the spirit of not wanting to look like a walking bed sheet around town, here are a few pointers to wearing a full length-to-the-floor floral dress in the coming months:

1. Break it up! Add something solid to the look – like a cool black silk scarf.

2. Unless the bohemian lifestyle really resonates with you (as in, you constantly find yourself island hopping and with no permanent address) – maybe stray away from the gladiator sandal and flower crown adorned head.

3. In lieu of the open-toe heel, a sandal like the Birkenstock, or a sneaker like the Converse are perfect collaborators and shouldn’t be overlooked.

4. Less IS more when it comes to wearing a head-to-toe print – maybe stay away from the wild mane and go for a sleeker hairstyle, and maybe, just maybe, only do a lip?

5. Forget all of the above because who cares and YOLO – you just gotta be yourself right?

To help you with the floral frenzy you must be in – here are some fabulous frocks to pursue…

Here’s to the weekend !
