You can take one look at this image and get a very clear sense of who Akua is – fierce, empowered, and, undoubtedly, a lover of all things 70s.
Her look is the perfect marriage of individuality and personal style, which I (as well as everyone here in the studio) have always appreciated. That is the purpose and underlying tone of our street style series. It’s very inspiring to come across a woman (or man) who can so naturally exude their inner self through the adornments of their exterior.
I totally dig this outfit, yes. Could I rock it in the same fashion as Akua? Probably not.
She owns this ensemble, and rightfully so.
