Have you noticed the effect animal prints have on a woman? A bit more fierce, even without wearing a super high heel. And it seems like the easiest way to wear it is in the form a jacket, followed closely by accessories, namely shoes. It kind of acts as a neutral – considering it’s typically tanned brown and black spots – it isn’t so hard to believe. I used to have a pair of leopard sneakers I loved and wore ’til they were actually unwearable, and spots that weren’t there originally had somehow migrated their way into the pattern.
But it’s the coat / jacket that’s really been on my mind. If you were to look at my eBay watch list you would find multiple versions: faux fur vintage, calf hair new, and a weird vest that just feels right. You know?
But like the animals these prints are based off of, you can’t help but feel a bit empowered while wearing them. Empowered to feel sophisticated, to feel gutsy, to feel like a woman! As a matter of fact, I think it was Shania Twain who said that last part and she loved animal prints too!
Ooh this article is spot on! I just found the perfect animal print coat at a flea market a few weeks ago, it’s actually a SANDRO calfskin coat, and I got it for the ridiculous price of 35€! I can’t wait for autumn to wear it :)

I love your coat. Wonderful find

The different between sophisticated and elegant and chipy…all in the way you wear prints…it’s already very connotated…so if you we are it simple with not too much makeup it will become modern…if you charge with other prints ++ it want be modern anymore!!!
It’s funny but now that it’s summer you don’t feel like having animal prints…it will be nice in October ..November..

Oh, I had the cutest leopard loafers, but they gave up the ghost. Must replace them! And a hat is good, too!
These are really great animal prints.
I love animal prints in case they are so cool!!

I love leopard print. It’s hard to pull off. Many people try and fail miserably. The woman featured all look amazing. The first women wearing the leopard coat with a white show it looks fresh. I would’ve paired it with all black outfit.
Have always loved leopard print coats – there’s just something special about it!

Busting out my mom’s leopard print coat right now!!!
Ooh that tiger print Adam Lippes coat looks fab and fierce!
Loving the shoes in the first picture! And the leopard print coat!
I just watched (for the umpteenth time) the movie The Graduate, where Mrs. Robinson (the glorious Anne Bancroft) is consistently wearing animal print. Wouldn’t it be fun to come up with “The Mrs. Robinson Capsule Wardrobe” in much the same way designers create collections inspired by costumes in the films of Wes Anderson?
I love these leopard looks. So cool & casual. Its usually difficult to pull one off, but this is awesome.

I have been obsessed with animal print lately which is weird because I used to absolutely hate it? Great post! xx
Ce que je préfère, c’est sur les chaussures, motifs léopard ou zèbre, en plus ça peut donner une touche amusante selon comme c’est porté.
