The studio (and by the studio I mean me) is pretty psyched about the cooler temperatures that are fast approaching! Don’t get me wrong summer, you are my most favorite but I’m getting a bit tired of wearing a dang slip dress every single day…You feel me?
With this in mind, I thought it was perfect timing to feature a fabric that is completely inappropriate for summer. Au revoir cute little basket bag, hellloooooooo VELVET!

Maybe we aren’t quite ready for the head to toe look, but I’m definitely open to introducing some velvety accessories into my rotation. Particularly those tonal grey cat-eye sunnies by Italia Independent. Who knew that velvet sunglasses would be at the top of my wish list?!?!

I love velvet, and I’m so glad that it’s “back” because it seems it’ll be easier to get high quality velvet now. The poor quality is, well, poor. Velvet can be dressed down or up, well, can’t everything? Quite a lot of high quality velvet can be “thrifted” because it hasn’t been in for quite a while. Thank you for the post!

These are all great looks! Unfortunately, living in Florida I don’t get to wear velvet very often. I’m thinking the velvet sunnies could be a daily wear this winter though! Love this post and your style. Have a lovely day.

I’ve always kind of loved velvet but it seemed so outdated for a while… Now that it’s back I think I might be over it! :)
Oh well, what to do! :) But actually I’m warming up to it again and sometimes velvet is just the best and most gorgeous thing!

Velvet is the one thing I’m excited to wear this fall! I think accessories are the perfect way to start, I just got a pair of velvet boots and am obsessed with them.
