So Cozy!
8 years ago by
I’m not sure what I expected from Camille, but I feel as though she undermined and surpassed everything I had thought she might be! She invited Erik and I over to her apartment in Paris on a rainy afternoon – one of those perfectly cozy days, when all you want to do is drink tea and wrap yourself up in oversized knits… So that’s exactly what we did.
Camille is a wonderful contradiction, who really loves a turtleneck… ! A former lawyer who stumbled into the super glamorous and crazy life of a fashion blogger; a Parisian who now lives in London; a “fashion girl” who is completely down to earth and charming – and has impeccable taste in classical French music (the amazing talents you find in people when you get comfortable with them for an entire afternoon!).
So, as she told us about how she crossed the English Channel one day for love and has stayed there ever since, and how she never planned on being a fashion blogger, it all just sort of happened, she showed us the cozy pieces that she takes with her on her travels.
(And I had to include some of her favorite tracks that we were listening to, too!)
Playlist:
Charles Aznavour – Formidable
Charles Trenet – La mer
Jacques Dutronc – J’aime les filles
Serge Gainsbourg – La Javanaise
Pink Martini – Sympathique
Renaud – Mistral Gagnant
Edith Piaf – Non, je ne regrette rien
Barbara – Dis, quand reviendras-tu ?
Brigitte Bardot & Sacha Distel – Tu es le soleil de ma vie
Cora Vaucaire – La Complainte de la Butte
Look 1: Blue pants, Stella McCartney; T-shirt, Acne / Look 2: Jeans, Levi’s; Shoes, BOYY / Look 3: Bag, Ralph Lauren; Sweater, Rag & Bone; Pants, Ganni; Shoes, River Island; Watch, Larsson & Jennings.

What is the sweater in look 2? I find the site so frustrating because you so often picture the perfect, ideal, desirable thing and then misdirect us to a different item for purchase. I’d like to know who made the sweater she’s wearing. Can you tell me? Hopelessly asking…
Hi! I was looking at Camille’s blog and she is wearing that same sweater in one of her “looks”. It is tagged Celine under the photo. Click on her name above and it is a link to her blog. (Sympathizing with your frustration!)
One option in the case of a sweater is to take the picture to a really good knitter and have them make a facsimile. I’ve done it before with impressive results when the item wasn’t available retail anymore. You can find the best knitters by asking the owners of specialty knitting shops in most large cities. In addition to being able to customize, the cost is typically very reasonable — the cost of the materials being the big variable.
Love the look.

Dear Garance,
For many years I oftenly stop by your blog, as always joyful. Sometimes I do miss your ‘old’ blog posts about a person you photographed on the street illustrating style. those photos always would illustrating a purity and style of person photographed and illustrating as well your great talent for photography.

I love the belt! Could you tell us who makes it, please? :)
I love how she pulls that blonde with roots kid of look, she looks wonderful. I’ve tried it and just looked like I couldn’t be bothered to go to the hairdresser. Love the boots, too.
