I’ve always been a fan of rompers, and the season is now approaching (ok, that might be crazy optimistic since it looks like it’s going to snow this week in New York) (SNOW AGAIN!?) (WHAT, DO THEY THINK WE’RE IN THE MOVIE FROZEN HERE IN NEW YORK OR SOMETHING?!!!) where we can let loose with rompers again.
Because in the winter, under our coats, there’s no point (it’s hard enough as it is) and in the summer, when it’s hot, we end up tying things around the waist, which is… pretty nice, actually, don’t you think?
Anyway, I’m a fan of rompers especially in this transitional period before-crazy springtime pathetic athletic mode mixed with heels (and big scarves), so I love this outfit and I can’t wait to copy it myself right away.
After the snow storm this week, that is. Let it gooooooo, let it gooooooo.

Tout à fait d’accord avec toi!
La combi c’est génial et ça m’a bien aidé l’année dernière quand j’étais invité à un marriage enceinte de 8 mois et demi! Au lieu de trouver une robe moyennement chouette (les fringues de femmes enceintes: beurk!!!!), j’ai trouvé une belle combinaison ceinturée taille basse (ce qui mettait mon ventre en valeur), avec des talons et de jolis accessoires.
Bref, que des compliments toute la soirée.
J’ai me beaucoup la photo, en France il fait un temps plus clément qu’à NYC, je vais peut être ressortir mes combis.

Sadly, I’ve never owned one in adulthood, mostly due to my sasquatch-like proportions and the resulting, um, situation in the crotch area. (If I hear one more woman lament that clothes are made for tall women, I might smack her. I wish!) When I do stumble upon one to fit my frame, I’m all over it. Here’s hoping…

C’est exactement le type de tenue que je ne porterais pas, mais que j’adore sur les autres! Par contre, ses escarpins, je les lui piquerais bien ;)
J’aime beaucoup porter la combi-short en été, mais je n’ai pas encore osé la vraie combi, pourtant je trouve ça superbe et ça fait des années que ça dure!

Oui vraiment sympa ce look …J’AIME les combis ! Et pour info et pour celles qui ont de petits moyens ..MANGO en a une dans sa nouvelle collection PE 2014 , noire qui peut-être portée chic avec talons ou cool avec ballerines , sandales plates …etc et le prix 29 euros ..qui dit mieux ? !

Tiens je viens de m’en acheter une noire, tout jolie, un beau décolleté juste comme il faut, et hyper agréable à porter. Avec des sandales à talon méga haut, un blazer très court et voilà ! C’est la tenue du printemps :-)

It’s the same here in Switzerland…. we had hail and snow today….. on my blooming Magnolias!!! Romper, does that translate to Overall? Is it the same? I guess…. love this outfit too! Frozen… à la maternelle du lycée français de Mexico, tous les enfants chantent ça, en espagnol, anglais ou français, c’est au choix ! Et pour une française de France, c’est incroyable de voir des piou-piou à l’aise avec les langues… Pour la combi., j’ai déjà donné et là, je passe. Je regarderai comment les plus jeunes s’accommodent avec cette mode ! Et courage pour cette dernière tempête et les beaux jours vont bien v-finir par arriver… et Frozen va laisser place au soleil (chaud) !
J’adore les combinaisons, je trouve que ça a une classe folle et j’aimerais en user et en abuser … sauf que ce n’est pas pratique ( euh, je parle pour aller aux toilettes ! car je suis miss pipi toutes les demi heures ! ) Autrement, oui, je craque pour cette tendance !

I wear them all summer long – sleeveless, in silks – plain and patterned.
With the long-sleeved one like the lady is attired in, I always, always wonder, “Wearer – do you feel unpleasantly cold in cooler months – like I do – when you must peel off your top in the Ladies room, ‘to sit down'”?
I always hate using the toilet nearly topless – it’s cold, in a romper, unless it’s the middle of summer (and – unless the jumper around her waist is used in those emergencies that involve temperature drop).
And, we all know how much babies hate it, when you try to change them out of their cosy rompers at nappy change time, unless the baby romper has those button up bottoms like the old Grandpa versions… now there’s an (unattractive) idea to make adult rompers in winter more practical…
The cold never bothered me anyway… Yeah right!

I often wonder how it is possible I never see one photo of a slightly worn in pair of heels! I must ask you ladies out there, how frequently do you re-heel your shoes? Do you wear heels out all day or …?? Maybe my shoes need more TLC?
