I’m such a big fan of Jihae. I love it all: her style, her music, and her voice!
Since I couldn’t capture her voice with photos, I asked if I could give you guys a little sample to listen to and she said yes.
Here’s an exclusive listen of her latest song, Lullaby For The Lonely People, that she recorded with Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics.
Jihae started a Kickstarter on September 4th to get her next album produced.
It’s such an awesome way for indie music to live on.

Lullaby for the Lonely People is on my upcoming album, Illusion of You, which I’m doing the Kickstarter for to be able to finish, market and tour the album.
This is a all or nothing campaign. Two years of hard work will be at a standstill if I don’t reach my goal in 13 days and all pledges so far will get cancelled and refunded.
Any little or big purchase will go a long way to help me fulfill my dream of touring after a decade of independent music making.

La musique est très belle, j’aime beaucoup les duo. C’est vrai que la chanteuse a un timbre de voix qui donne des frissons, accompagnée par une guitare sèche, tout ce qu’il y a de plus minimaliste, cela met d’autant plus en valeur les deux voix.
Mais, mais, mais, Garance: “Où est la fashion week???? Pourquoi pas de Pardon my french, cette saison, ni de trending?” La fashion week arrive à Paris et on ne ressent pas l’effervescence qui en général anime ton blog en cette période de l’année. Garance, tu nous manques!
Alice, bonne question ! J’ai eu beaucoup de choses en plus de la fashion week ce coup-ci – mais on devrait poster une video cette semaine et Paris commence demain ! Je viens d’y arriver, à l’instant. J’ai hâte de me plonger dans la fashion week… Et puis je t’avoue qu’un mois de fashion week je trouve ça un peu répétitif à force. Mais je suis toujours ravie d’écouter votre feedback.
Pour tout dire, je suis ravie que tu ne nous farcisses pas la tête avec la FW. C’est très reposant. J’en ai assez de toutes ces franfreluches. Comme tu es une excellente capteuse de ce qui flotte dans l’air du temps et des tendances à venir, tu te recentres sur davantage de simplicité et de sobriété, et c’est exactement ce à quoi, pour ma part, j’aspire.
Voir Emmanuelle Alt et les filles de Vogue Paris me suffit.
Merci de nous avoir fait découvrir Jihae. Elle a beaucoup de talent. Sa reprise de “I put a spell on you” est excellente aussi. Je suis conquise !
Et en plus, elle est jolie et elle assure côté style.
