Easy Layers
10 years ago by
I love the way Christine layers her long sleeve blouse under a tee. I don’t know why this layering style seems like the toughest to master– all the bulk underneath with the buttons, the pockets, the collar… Anyway, she’s inspired me to give it another go!
Love it!!!!

How does she do that? What’s the secret of layering like that? Garance would you please teach some of us how to layer?
Christine Centenera has an amazing style, In my opinion she is in the same league as Alt and Roitfeld.
love this look very fashionable

I really like it too!

This looks absolutely amazing!
It looks like the T-shirt is made out of a pretty thick material, which makes the layering a lot easier I think.
I also love how the shirt does not pop out of her sky blue shirt!
Long layer + Short layer=PERFECTION!!
You’re right! The way she pulls everything together is just perfect! Our blog also consist of inspirtion of this kind, you’re more than welcome to visit it http://www.fashionhavenbysandl@gmail.com
I love her style!

What I love most about this look is the shape of the tee. The seaming really defines her waist. And the fact that it is made from heavier material. Some of us could use a bit of that shaping…. hmmm I wonder if it putting darts in a tee would mimic that look.
Like it a lot, yes! Perfectly casual, great inspiration.

Love it! Doing something casual and easy like this, to look effortless yet with a bit of something unexpected, like the slightly puffy sleeves under the sweater. I wore something similar a while back, but more polished and sleek: http://www.theseventhsphinx.com/fashion/features/buttoned-up/ …I think I prefer this rumpled look. So hard to decide these things – they both have their charm.
I love this look but I find it impossible for me to wear. I see it on other women and I think it is a classic look, but on me I always feel frumpy and overweight. My shirt always bunches up under the sweater. Not very flattering.
love the layers

I know! It’s so hard to look slim while trying to put the oversized button up underneath!! Maybe the key is a really thin fabric… :)

i really like it, but i find it hard to wear something like that too. anyway, this post inspired me, i wrote something on my blog about it, come have a look: http://minimal-ista.com ;)
This is a style I admire and have a hard time with as well. Guess I’ll give it a go myself.
I feel like one needs to have really specific pieces to pull this off. I see she isn’t just wearing an ordinary top. Will be on the lookout for something like hers with a touch of heft and tailoring. I adore the layered look as well. #gottahaveit
I’ve got a button down shirt on today under a cropped sweater. For me, it’s the ONLY way I’m going to wear anything cropped. I think layering like this is perfect for Spring weather.
Great outfit…. The top she is wearing isn’t t shirt …. I think it is a heavier fabric top.. Don’t think t shirt would work…. Cheers x
I think the key here is the t-shirt, the ones in the picture has a form, structure, so it doesn’t look bulky even with the shirt underneath.
I like the look as well! Especially the fact that her top layer is not a t-shirt but a fitted top that is structured with a thick fabric! That is why there isn’t any bulk.????
Superbe !!
Cool… i am gonna copy this ;)
It is so simple and cool. a real street style.
Love it! These sunglasses are gorgeous! The shirt reminds me of school and all together layered like this are just perfect!
Simply fab!

I love this look too. On either a guy or a girl, it really brings a look of casual sophistication.

I love this look but I can’t deal with feeling the bulk of a shirt underneath a sweater. I wish I could!
Layering is a great way to put together an outfit! So many clothing items can be paired together simply by layering. Using a women’s button up shirt as the base layer of the look is always a good start. Great outfit!

This is such a great look on this woman. There are a few details that make it tough for all women to pull this look off without looking all bunchy and constantly having to tug the shirt tails down to flaten out the shirt underneath: 1) having boobies any larger than a B-cup is iffy. 2) over shirt has to have structure while under shirt must be more fitted and really thin, lightweight cotton or silk.
