Well, let’s say this is the week of minimalism!
Here is a picture I took in Miami last week – yeah as you can see, it’s not below 0° everywhere – I love this very Margaret Howell look, even more because the girl wearing it has the perfect attitude to go with it, a little tomboy, a little gallerist (yes, that’s an attitude) with a few very discreet tatoos AND the haircut.
No, seriously, the bob is really THE now haircut, don’t you think ?

Bien sur c’est la coupe du moment, c’est ma coupe. Moi j’ai les cheveux raides, mais avec les cheveux frisée elle est encore plus belle! Je croie que elle serait très jolie sur toi aussi Garance!!

Looove the hair! I would love to have that kind of carefree bob, but have naturally curly hair like you and always keep it in a bun too…..I once cut my hair like that and instantly turned into a poodle with all the curly hair getting even more curly after the cut, needless to say not a good look on me :)

Exactement! Le carré c’est LA coupe! D’ailleurs, je viens d’y passer pour cet hiver… et son look est extra!
C’est surtout une coupe que j’adore. Le mien est long et plongeant, il y a plein de façons de s’amuser avec. Maintenant, à chacun de fonctionner selon ses envies et de ses humeurs ! Et pourquoi pas selon les saisons ! ;)
En tout cas, ce carré va divinement bien à cette jeune femme, il lui donne un air frais et dynamique.

Perso , j’ai cette coupe en ce moment et je n’arrive plus du tout à coiffer mes cheveux en fait je crois que je n’arriverai jamais à coiffer mes cheveux et j’hésite toujours pour me faire les cheveux courts comme ton amie Violaine , sinon la fille en couverture est très belle , et vivement le printemps !!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, she is so lovely! I am currently growing out the various bobs I have had over the past 10 years. I loooove the bob but as soon as there is one bit of humidity, it’s out of control and too short to tame with even a low ponytail!!!

Being sporting a no fringe bob for the last few months, I can’t help but endorse it. I love how soft of a look the slight waving makes for on this picture.
J’adore la coupe mais ne va pas a tout le monde, j’en sais quelque chose, j’ai testé et ça ne rendait vraiment pas pareil, je crois que le type de cheveux est important pour avoir ce rendu!

I used to have a Bob Haircut! I loved it, but then got tired of having such short hair and let it grow, and the thing is it started growing in an odd way and I had to cut it straight afterwards, so all my beautiful hair was cut again short but it was not that cool, because it wasn’t a bob anymore!

Now that I was embracing my long locks I see bobs everywhere and I want my hair shorter!
Je suis abonnee au “carre” avec frange depuis longtemps puisque mes cheveux sont raides et fins, c’est la coupe ideale. Sur la photo avec des cheveux ondules, c’est ravissant.
J’habite dans le sud de la Floride et c’est vrai que nous beneficions d’un “hiver” doux et ensoleille mais j’attends les grands froids (12-15 degres !!) pour porter une parka et des bottines !
Bon moi avec mes cheveux crépus et ma coupe afro je suis hors jeu LOL mais je trouve que la coupe au carré ne va pas forcément à tout le monde. Sur certaines filles il est vraiment très joli!
Le carré c’est tellement LA coupe que perso j’en peux plus! J’ai succombé au carré plongeant lisse pendant des années, celui bien raide, bien chiant à dompter quand on a les cheveux wavy et là j’ai coupé, dégradé, ébouriffé et c’est un PUR bonheur! Laissons nos cheveux s’exprimer et arrêtons d’aller contre la nature (ouais bon je dis ça mais dans 2 mois je ressort mon lisseur céramique!!).

Moi j’ai essayé l’année dernière, mais avec mon volume et mes cheveux indomptables ça n’a pas du tout, mais du tout le même effet. Les cheveux c’est plus facile de les dompter quand ils sont longs parce que quand plus ils sont courts, plus ils se lâchent !!! Depuis, je les ai laissé pousser

Ca me fait penser aux uniformes des filles dans les pensionnats français du siècle dernier ! Strict d’apparence pour faire tout propret.. mais à l’intérieur (ou à l’aide d’indices visuels à l’encre indélébile ! ) on sent que ça bouillonne ! J’aime le contraste preppy/ carré flou!

Bobs have come and bobs have gone, they’re always a strong yet fleeting trend I find. They look great if you have thin/fine hair and a good jawline (Keira Knightley) When I had a bob I suddenly found my wardrobe limiting. They look fantastic when dressed for dinner and cocktails with a lot of exposed shoulder and collar bone – or super casual in a muscle tee and cut-offs not so great all rugged up in a coat and scarf and very news-reader-like in a stiff blazer and button-down. I’m giving it the flick this time ’round.
I like bobs BUT they’re not too great on me. I’ve got very thick hair and it just looks way better long! xx

after being a die-hard long hair girl for years, i had mine bobbed a year ago – not stacked or contrived but more androgynous – a bit layered. messy (my hair is thick w/a slight wave but fine – i think for sure it’s more modern than long hair which has become so common really and this cut does look great w/the new (fuller) proportions we are seeing in fashion – but that said, i’m ready to grow mine as soon as i hear “cut of the moment” because this time next year every girl and her mom will have one. btw. the cut workds beautifully on curly hair – case in point; yasmin sewell
I tried to achieve this “cut of the moment” in February of 2011. I had really long hair, and donated a 10 inch ponytail to cancer-ladies who need wigs. Arizona Muse had just been doing the ad campaign for YSL (I think) and had this very bob. Unfortunately, I have stick straight (although a little coarse and thick, wtf) hair which does NOT under ANY circumstances hold a wave. So the look was a no-go. My hair is all grown out again, thankfully! I still love this look and wish I could pull it off. Garance can probably relate … we look best with brown hair of a certain length, and all too often wear it in a bun (like I’m doing right now). Bisous!

Absolutely! I got a Catherine McNeil cut a week ago and am loving it. And the best part: I don’t really have to do anything special to make it look good. My hair naturally has a soft curl, so I just air-dry it and out the door I go. Easy!
