Beauty Minute with Jamie Ciello Tuazon
3 years ago by
You might remember Jamie from her street style a few weeks ago. She is also the director of product and product innovation and development at Malin+Goetz so of course we had her back for a beauty minute!
What’s your morning beauty routine?
Skincare: My routine day and night isn’t that different. I like to keep things simple as I’m often testing new formulas. I don’t wash my face in the morning. I splash with cold water and follow with Malin+Goetz Advanced Renewal Moisturizer. Now that it’s getting colder I like to layer our Meadowfoam Oil Balm as the occlusive oils helps to seal moisture.
Hair: I normally wear my hair in my natural waves and let it air dry. I start with R+Co Suncatcher on damp hair and follow with Oribe Maximista for hold and that wet finish.
Makeup: I don’t wear much makeup but I have to have my power brows and lashes on EVERYDAY. I brush my brows in place with a bar of soap and a brow brush spool to give them a feathery finish and will fill in the bare spaces with Glossier brow flick. Prior to COVID I was getting my lashes done to trim down on my morning routine. In March I started using GrandeLASH and it’s made a HUGE difference in volume and length. Hands down favorite mascara of all time ILIA Limitless (sponsor me thanks). It does not disappoint. On my lips I use Malin+Goetz lip moisturizer and Charlotte Tilbury lip liner in Iconic Nude.
What products do you use throughout the day?
Malin+Goetz lip moisturizer – usually one in every pocket.
What’s your evening beauty routine?
I wash with Malin+Goetz Grapefruit Face Cleanser which is an amino acid based cleanser that removes dirt and debris from the day. Follow up with Malin+Goetz Advanced Renewal Moisturizer and Meadowfoam oil balm. Pending what mood my skin is in I throw in our resurfacing face serum. It’s really helped me with scarring. People always ask if I use all of our products and I really do, they work and it’s uncomplicated.
I’ve also switched to natural toothpaste from TWICE – game changer. Never realized how often my toothpaste was causing tiny breakouts.
What’s your definition of beauty?
Beauty isn’t just about topicals. It requires a holistic approach as mental and internal health are so closely linked to how we feel and look. It pains me when people ask how they can better their skincare routine yet unwilling to change their eating habits. It’s all relative! It should also be simple, easy and fun. Sticking to a routine that makes you feel good. It should never feel daunting.
That really is cool that she uses all of her products & is able to talk about them from experience! I’ll have to go see what her brand’s site looks like ^_^
