A Beauty Minute With Lauren Chan

Morning:
My morning beauty routine has turned way down since I stopped working in an office. Work was a little more formal then, and I wanted to appear as put-together as possible, so I’d wear eyeliner and mascara daily. If I had an important meeting, I’d take it up a notch with the concealer, powder, and bronzer that I kept in my desk.
Now that I’m a founder, my days are rarely spent in an office. Instead, I’m usually running errands around the garment district, popping in and out of fittings, or catching up on emails at my home desk. To be honest, I don’t feel the pressure to look “put-together” with make-up anymore, so I usually skip it.
My morning routine now consists of a gentle face wash, like Babor’s milk cleanser, a serum like Drunk Elephant’s vitamin C, and an SPF moisturizer like Supergoop!’s. Oh. And Benefit’s eyebrow pencil. That’s one product I couldn’t live without.
Day:
I don’t reapply anything throughout the day. (I know, I know, sunscreen should be re-upped regularly—oops.) But I do have a few things in my bag for when I need them. For lip balm, I carry Laneige’s lip sleeping mask and Glossier’s Balm Dot Com. For a last-minute red lip, Sephora’s longwear lipstick in Pure Red (pictured here!). And for SPF emergencies, Sugar’s sunscreen stick.
Evening:
Nighttime is when I have the most focus on my beauty routine. Every day, I wash my face with Dermalogica’s gel cleanser. Some days, usually if I’ve worn concealer, I’ll add their microfoliant to the mix. Then, I usually pluck any stray eyebrow hairs with my Tweezerman tweezers. Then, I switch it up. Some nights I apply Peter Thomas Roth retinol; others, I use Paula’s Choice BHA liquid; and sometimes I just get lazy and skip this step. As a moisturizer and final touch, I use the Korres vitamin C night mask and Fresh’s black tea eye cream. Then I hope that I wake up looking rested and ready to tackle whatever curveball tomorrow has to bring—but that part usually doesn’t work, ha!
She has such gorgeous features!
God I love Lauren so much – she’s my fav!
