A Beauty Minute with Jane Keltner

Morning: I get my hair blown out once a week, and don’t really do anything to it in between. I like it best after I’ve slept on it a couple of nights. I don’t workout so it doesn’t get greasy, but if there is oil buildup I use a little baby powder.
For my skin, I wash my face with Cetaphil and use a La Roche-Posay face cream with SPF 15, as well as eye cream with SPF from Clarins.
I like a natural makeup look a part from kohl-rimmed eyes, which I’ve been doing since I was a teenager. I never leave the house without eyeliner. My favorite is L’Oréal Infallible in slate. It’s softer than black, stays on all day (it says “16 hours” on the packaging and it doesn’t lie), and it’s easy and inexpensive to pick up new ones at any drugstore. For mascara, I like Dior Iconic Overcurl. My eyebrows are really fair, so I accentuate them with a pencil from Sania’s Brow Bar. It’s amazing how much brows define the face. Then I use a little Lancome Long-Lasting Concealer under my eyes. At night I’ll put on Armani Lasting Silk Compact Foundation. It goes on super light.
I typically just wear Rosebud Salve on my lips during the day, but for some color I like blush-toned nudes. My favorites are Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Boy, Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Sex Machine (it’s a chubby pencil that goes on like lipstick), and Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color in Pink Cloud.
Day: In my bag, I carry Rosebud Salve, Boscia Green Tea Blotting Linens, Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Color in No. 10, dental floss, and lipstick.
Night: I remove my eye makeup with cleansing pads called Eye Scrub. Then I wash my face with Cetaphil, and remove any traces of makeup with Bioderma Crealine. I use La Roche Posay nutritic cream on my face at night.

My beauty recommendation for this weekend ..start the morning with a great breakfast:)..i am sure Jane will agree with me after all it’s her job to promote all this beauty product for vogue—.. where Jane Keltner de Valle is the Fashion News Director for Teen Vogue…i always say to my teen daughter that youth is a God gift…we will need the cream later when we will get older….

My hair is similar to Jane’s, and I wish I had the disposable income for a weekly blow-out. But like Jane, I only wash once a week – and it really helps the condition of such fine hair. And I agree nothing a bit of baby talc to freshen up blonde locks between washes. I work out so most days you will find my hair tied back.

She’s so beautiful! I’ve just starting using Bioderma Sensibio and I must say it’s a miracle-worker. My face feels softer and look brighter than before. I thought Avene was the only thing that could work for my over-senzitive skin but this is so much better! Checking out Cetaphil now… :)
