As the saying goes, April showers bring May flowers – and you certainly couldn’t get through all that rain without a good raincoat! Each time I put on my own water repelling layer, I can’t help but think I look nowhere near as put together as Selby, who has impeccable taste and the innate ability to keep looks simple but still interesting.
Here, she’s managed to somehow avert the wet dog look we all fear when faced with a day of downpour, and instead tap into a modern day version of Catherine Deneuve with her calf boots and translucent piped trench coat.
An amalgamation of odd ideas I think I’m into! Should help with the melancholy days ahead.
