Modern Commuter
8 years ago by
If I can find a route to work that excludes the subway, count me in.
I’ve never lived anywhere where I couldn’t walk to work (approximately 30 minutes at most), and even more so, prefer to ride my bike. Its yellow, its happy, and makes the commute that much nicer. Adios claustrophobic train cars! Anyways, the tricky thing about the bike, is always being cautious, protecting yourself without forfeiting all personal style…
That’s where this new collection from Levi’s comes in – they’ve taken functional technologies (like utility straps on the waistband to hold your U-lock, 3-M reflective tape on the selvedge, and an even higher back rise for more coverage). All little things, but each one making riding that much smoother … to work or to wherever your commute takes you!

That’s really nice!
Levi’s jeans were the first pair of proper jeans I ever had and I used to only wear Levi’s for years. Good old times! :)

Thanks for sharing! I ride my bike to work sometimes (6 miles each way) and I hate wearing workout clothes to do it, so this is a good compromise of style/practicality. Now if only I can make myself not sweat while pedaling up one of the big hills in my route!
Levi’s will always be the best jeans!

I’m so jealous you get to walk to work. I have to drive. Great post!

As a recent bike-to-work convert, this post makes me smile because it’s so true (“protecting yourself without forfeiting all style”). The one thing I haven’t found is a helmet that plays nice with your hair. Although I love the basket linked here. (It would be wonderful to tote the pup around in, although I’m afraid he’d jump out.)
