You might not guess it from her all-black sleek look, but Sophie is from California. A modernist in both her way of dress and recent launch of sculptural silver jewelry by the same name.
Her wide leg pant and simple black tee is perfect to me; an illusion of a floor length skirt, it is every bit as elegant and feminine as it is practical. Plus, she is just charming.

Wonderful outfit – so chic! Beautiful girl! But whoa, what’s with the “you’d never guess she’s from California?” Do you think we all wear loud neon prints and fussy frilly styles? I am Portuguese and, as anyone from my country, I am used to this kind of big straw bags that you show on your shopping suggestions (Shop the Story). I find it amazing that these ones that you show are made in Brazil (??!!), thousands of km from “the real thing”, and cost a small fortune. In Portugal, you can buy one of those bags in any popular market for a maximum of 30 dollars. There is a Portuguese small online business that sells much more beautiful and genuine ones, and for a fraction of that price (still expensive, but…it is a business). I just bought one of Sophie’s necklaces…and I never wear necklaces. Her jewelry is so beautiful and so understated. Just perfect! I absolutely love her style.
Trop souvent, nous sommes pris dans le piège des couturiers qui nous imposent un look. Cependant, chacune de nous a sa propre idée du style vestimentaire à porter. Personnellement, je trouve que tout en noir cela donne un style gothique chic et j’aurai préféré une autre association avec un t-shirt d’une autre couleur que ce soit pour aller au travail ou pour la vie de tous les jours
