Headphones are on my list of essentials.
They’re one of my favorite accessories for a few reasons…
1. They let you listen to music anywhere, anytime (a small, incredible luxury).
2. You can shut yourself off from the world for a few minutes (in New York, you need that!).
3. If you have big, padded ones like mine (they’re Marshall), they double as ear warmers in winter!
So, seeing the recent spotlight on headphones by major fashion houses has me beaming. Chanel did the Heidi braid-style headphones for pre-fall (not sure I could pull those off quite like Cara) and now, for fall, Dolce & Gabbana showcased these beautifully ornate ones. Ok, so they’re kind of over the top with the crystals and the pearls, but I would definitely wear them… just maybe not on the subway?
What do you think of them? Do headphones make your list of essentials too?

I don’t have headphones, I use earphones, but I don’t live in a city like NY.
Those headphones by DG are too much, and I hate fur, using it for headphones shows bad taste (in my opinion), plus I don’t find them hygienical. I would definitely buy washable headphones, like those made by Urbanears.

I mostly agree with Noemi. Fur is a bad choice. But washable headphones? I’ve never heard of such a thing, I have to check it out.

I love the Proenza Scouler + Master & Dynamic collaboration pair. Master & Dynamic are well regarded by all my friends in audio sound production and the rose gold interior makes them special. Definitely worth it if you’re in the zone with ‘phones on all day.
