In the Mood for Yellow Nails

Just when I thought I had tried every single color out there…
I’m having some really real yellow nail polish envy. It started at Dior when I saw Marion Cotillard backstage and noticed her springy yellow manicure. Then, Jenn stopped by our studio with bright yellow nails. I went home, feeling inspired, and realized I didn’t own any yellow nail polish. WHAHHHHUH?!
Now I’m on the hunt for a summer ready yellow polish. I’m thinking of trying the below. Any recommendations?

J’utilise le vernis jaune de la marque Sephora et il rend très bien (bon évidemment, la tenue n’est pas ce qu’il y a de mieux avec cette marque). Je trouve que le vernis jaune est plus joli sur des ongles courts, en tout cas moi je le porte quand mes ongles sont en phase de repousse après un retour en force du rongement d’ongles!
Oui il faut vraiment trouver la bonne nuance de jaune qui ira avec ta carnation de peau. Je trouve que c’est clé! Tu peux aussi tester les vernis kiko (vraiment super rapport qualité/prix et bcp de couleurs/nuances différentes)!

En plus de sa jolie couleur, il délivre un joli parfum d’ananas (mais que l’on découvre uniquement après l’avoir appliqué sur les ongles…). :)
I love a good yellow manicure, but I’ve found it to be a bit hit and miss. I bought a bright yellow once, but the shade just wasn’t quite opaque (no matter how many layers I put on) which gave my nails this diseased look. You definitely need to get something that will be really opaque if you’re choosing yellow!
Yellow is a color I struggle with for beauty products, it makes me think of jaundice.

Oelala, would be a difficult color I guess but then again perfect for summer!? No recommendations here, haven’t gone there yet :)

It’s funny that you didn’t notice that yellow manicure was so trendy some springs ago! How could you miss that, you’re the specialist of nail polish? ;-) Chanel’s Mimosa color was awesome, don’t know if they’re still doing it.
Oh, jaune!! Parfait pour l’été! J’ai utilisé ce laque de deborah lippmann et je l’adore :) Un peu neon, c’est toujours necéssaire :)
Je pense que la teinte de jaune doit correspondre à ta carnation mais aussi que pour avoir un rendu opaque (ne pas voir l’ongle au travers) il serait bien de mettre d’abord une couche de vernis blanc opaque pour mieux faire ressortir le jaune!
A good yellow is so hard to find. Mu first yellow was from rimmel, so that I didn’t have to break the bank to see if I liked it or not. OPI has one that is named: “the it color” and I could not resist. I also could not resist the nailpolish from Collistar from the “Ti amo Italia” line, the design was to cute. Now I can’t bring myself to buy more yelow polishes untill I finish a bottle.

Nice nail color ! It’s true that whenever the sun comes back, i usually like wearing bright colors on my nails like pink, orange or yellow. I have one from O.P.I but it’s a little less bright than the ones you selected :) However this year I am intern in a hospital, so I haven’t been able to wear nailpolish for 6 months, or only on the week ends :(

I use Deborah Lippmann ‘Walking on Sunshine.’ I always do two coats though because with one it is too light and just looks like you have a health problem! Hope that helps!
Yellow nails remind me of middle and high school! That was a popular color when I was obsessed with nail polish maybe 1998-2002. It’s an unexpected, happy color.
Priti NYC ‘horned poppy’ 460. Priti NYC is the only organic nail polish that works for me. And don’t forget to get sour hands on their nail polish remover based on lemongrass oil. It’s good for you AND the planet! xxx
I can wholeheartedly recommend Rescue Beauty Lounge Yellow Fever. It’s a great yellow polish. Chanel Mimosa and YSL Surreal Yellow are my two treasured possessions, both are fantastic! But it’s probably tricky to get them now.
In 1970 I saved my allowance for weeks to purchase a certain light yellow nail polish that I had my eye on. Unfortunately, it was so light that I looked like a ten-year old cadaver. So my opinion is BRIGHT (like the one from Butter). Otherwise chicer to go white.

Moi je recommande les vernis Nailmatic pour toutes les couleurs. Ils ont plein de nuances, ils sont moins toxiques que les autres et ont une super tenue !

La première fois que je suis arrivée avec du vernis jaune, très fière de moi, l’été dernier, une très bonne amie a commenté: “moi j’adore; mais je serais un homme je n’aimerais pas du tout” Selon elle c’est dans la catégorie “men repeller”. Selon moi, pas du tout mais moi, je suis célibataire- elle non ;-)

If you want your polish to show really yellow on your nails as it does in the bottle, make sure you paint your nails a bright white first! Then the color of your nails will really pop!!

I love yellow polish on others, but not myself. Could it be because I have a yellow undertone? Does yellow look better on women with a cooler undertone? Or have I just not found the right yellow?
Garance, do you remember the one from Channel, four or five years ago?! I use it all summer ?? Such a lovely yellow!!!
