Here is a picture of my summer clutch, which I found at the Surf Lodge in Montauk and that I love.
I put my survival kit in (sunscreen, sunglasses, Ipad) and toss it in my big beach bag. And so when there are no palm trees around (like in Montauk, you can count the palm trees with one hand) (Mmmmm, this is a French expression. I am not sure it translates very well) I can look at my clutch and dream about them.
No. Because magazines always try to overfeed me with fall fashion, I resist. I want to enjoy summer fashion till the last second.

Wow, I just got one too!!!…this clutch is by Samudra and the photo is of sunrise in Lanikai, Hawaii with two islands , the mokuluas and way more cute in person, I know because I have one!!!! and YES, I am using it all summer in very dry desert (Santa Fe) ’cause it reminds of beautiful, wet, Hawaii!

Bravo! I HATE that everyone starts focusing on Fall while Summer is still in full swing. Fall fills me with dread for winter, so I always try to cling to Summer until the last possible second. :)

Agree — summer must last! The fall fashions have been encroaching on summer too soon. To me it’s as offensive as when Christmas merchandise is out before Halloween, not OK…

As for your beach bag, I love it! It reminds me of my vacations in the Philipines this past April! I , on the other hand, carry around something like a fairtrade cotton shopping bag during the summer… It’s practical and I don’t worry about a sunscreen explosion…!

I completely agree, there is something so carefree and effortless about summer fashion. The kid in me loves summer for this reason. It reminds me of my mother, the beach and gathering worn, colored glass. Here in Austin, Texas, summer is in full swing, so fall fashion is completely out of my mind. Palm Trees over magazines any day…
