Well, actually Alex made it – we conceptualized it together – and now, we had to share it.
The idea was that we wanted a cool and easy tee that would work with any outfit. Oh and we were obviously super inspired by the Phillip Lim tee (awesomeness)…
We took two of my pictures from the Weekend Inspiration, and… Well look at the video and if you like the tee shirt, go and make it, it’s super easy and we’re super proud.
Big kisses!
Click here to download the iron-on letters!
A few tips…
– Use a 100% cotton or cotton blend t-shirt, cotton works best with the iron-on transfers.
– Make sure your iron is on the proper setting! Follow the instructions that came with your transfers for the best results.
– For the studs, you can either buy push through (that’s what we used) or iron-on options. If you go with the push through, have a screwdriver handy to push down the prongs.
– For the eyelets, you’ll need a hammer to flatten the backs. Most eyelets include a little kit to help you do this.
– Be nice to your shirt and always hand wash :)
PS : The tee is from Zara, you can get the iron-on transfers here, studs here, eyelets here and the jewels here!
PPS : Don’t miss our first DIY here!
Looks so neat!! My only question: what will happen to the iron-on transfers when you wash the tee?
Hi Jenny! The transfers hold up in the wash, but with all the embellishments, it is best if you hand wash the shirt!
Why don’t you just make a few and sell them?
OMG I’m obsessed whith embellished white tees right now, and it looks super easy to do! Thanks Alex!

It’s wonderful! These are the posts I like most. With all the instructions and adresses and with AN IDEA! Great, I’ll learn to make videos, I want to try!! (then I’ll ask your opinion about the result …)

Wow cool idea! Might try it this weekend. :D
You’re a genius!
It’s a shame I’m so clumsy with needle…
I could use glitters and glue perhaps…

Very charming indeed… The layout of the shirt And all the objects around it, the sweet And cheerful music And the white nailpolish on the designer. Just found it all very appealing. Thanks!
can’t watch this – it says “this video ist private”. is that the old German problem again in a new t-shirt?
Hey there,
this shirt looks really awesome…I just have a problem watching the video. I start it and after a second it tells me “this video is private”. Never had this before…:(.
Problem that I’m sitting in Austria?
Kisses.
Christiane
Hi Christiane, Sorry you are having that problem! Can you tell me what browser you are using? Thanks! Alex
Odd, isn’t it?
Check out my new outfit post :

LURRRVE IT!
My friend and I are planning a DIY day soon, this is a great idea!
xx
Love this DIY, such a cute idea and it rhymes!
The video is well done! LOve to see more of these DIYs.

Alex still hasn’t been properly introduced.
We’ve seen her hands and her forehead. We assume she’s a full person, with real potential, otherwise she wouldn’t have been hired, right?
An introduction would be in order.
Oh, dear Couteau, you haven’t done any proper research !
Or should Alex introduce herself at each post ?
http://www.garancedore.fr/en/2013/02/20/to-ombre-or-not-to-ombre/
Also, she’s in many of our videos !
Also, thank you for always being SO nice and polite in your comments.
We really adore you at the studio.
Big kisses,
G, A, C and E <3
Apologies for the tone, if I came across as crass.
Maybe if comments could be liked and shared more easily, I wouldn’t feel like the only way to comment is by shouting.
That said, point taken. I would have been more thoughtful in person or if I thought anyone read the comments.
Hey I appreciate this. We’ve looked into changing the comments section but haven’t found a solution yet, let us know if there is a solution you look up to.
We read and discuss the comments a lot (I’ve said it a lot!) but unfortunately don’t have time to answer all of them. We do special mini-posts with comments !
disqus is pretty great.
It does allow for real conversation, with you guys, but also between readers, which would be the case in a café or salon.
Thanks for your reply Garance. Peace.
I agree with Couteau’s idea, and I’ll add that it would be really great to have a post to present all the staff working at the studio
That is so cool, love it.

ENCORE!!!
its so freakin amazing!
but i could know way had the parience or the skills to do it!!

I love the tee! Las video explique tout super bien! I like the design tooxx
Really cool design, love it and the video is super too, always love your music choices :-) xxx
When is the new hair do post coming? I am waiting for it like a 3 yr old for xmas morning……caaaan’t wait anymore:). So excited to hear about ur experience….i am such a hair freak. Curly, waivy and always thinking that the next greatest product and perfect hair is just around the corner. Btw, i used to be super curly too up to 6 years ago, now it is more wavy, but in my head i still think of myself as a poodle:).
These Pardon My French videos are just becoming even more awesome
Do people say videos are chic?
I don’t care, I’m going to call it that >;)

I really love these ‘do it yourself’ posts. Keep up the good work! :)
niceee!
j’adooore ta vidéo !

You girls are just too clever by far! And I can’t tell you the warm feeling I get when I see you’ve posted a new video. Just wish I was 20 (maybe more! Gasp!) years younger so I could hang out with the cool kids!
Bisous!
Comment dire ?! J’adooooore <3
Bravo Alex!
xx
G.
PS: Oups, fatiguée je disais hein! ;) … correction “je LES consacre au …”
Parfait ce tshirt! J’adoooore

Il est beaaaaaaaaaau :)
Best DIY ever since I can’t really afford to get the Phillip Lim shirt. I can’t wait to start ordering all the pieces I will need.
I also noticed today that this blog is sort of becoming a new type of fashion/lifestyle magazine. Where you can interact with the editors and get content every day. This just might be what the future looks like. Love it!
Love the idea!!!!^^
xx
Encore mieux que l’inspiration !
If you made some to sell I’d buy one for sure! I love the tee but don’t have time to
DIM. (do it myself). ;) Love your blog!
Merci Garance, ça me stimule pour ma ligne de t-shirts.
Le résultat est agréable.
Why do these things always look so good in videos and tutorials and suck when I (alone or with handful bunch of like-minded empty-headed friends) made them??! Different hands bear different results I guess…

LOVE the video tutorial! i have to do this.
xx
I am starting to pick out the necessary stuff today. I love Alex’s beauty and DIY posts, way to go girls!!
Love it!!

Love this!
Do you think the iron-on transfer will show up on a black tee?
Thanks!
So cool! Thanks for posting-I love DIY projects, especially when you make it so easy to follow, and with the supply list! Great idea and adore the photo letters. Can’t wait to try this out. Yay!
This is beautiful and so creative. I used to love “t shirt parties”. My style is pretty minimalist, so those kind of shirts are not my kind :( I’d rater wear the plain white tee. It still looks great!!!! :) And it’s a great project.
i need it! <3<3
http://dontthinkjustfeel-yuka.blogspot.com/
The video is so cute! And it’s maybe the first time I see somebody sewings and not using glue to attach everything (which I don’t understand? Sewing is much easier!).
I like so much the letters.
I should do-it-myself more often!

Love the DIY! Great result!

This is such a great idea! I’m going to make it – but I was just wondering did you have to flip horizontally the image that you provided?
Love IT…. muah
Hi, you haven’t mentioned the most important thing- where do you get the letters? And if you make them yourself, how do you do it? Thanx!
You know what would be great? I ‘pardon my French’ graphic tee… white with gold and/or white/black? Done in your signature on-line handwriting of course. :-)
This DIY is a very great idea and very simple to make.
Thanks you for your contribution.
