o em geeeee, what a beautiful, takes your breath away, makes your heart beat faster kind of sky. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen something that beautiful in person. <3 I hope your weekend is full of fun!! :D
I love your films…esp. this one. It’s funny. i love the music and the cut. It reminded me of my npweekend in Pais two weeks ago. So true ewht is said about the transformation of streetstyle!

I love coming in your car with you and listening in on your conversations with friends!!!!! And the Dries show was more beautiful when you could see the movement than in the pictures (and I thought it was beautiful in pictures!)!! I want to be the Spring Dries girl (sans inch-long roots).
love love love this video, my how perfectly paris suits you! so nice to meet your team and to see dries and rochas, both seriously swoonworthy as always. it’s wonderful that you featured this dialogue about street style by the people who know it best. it’s so nice to hear an honest take on what it’s become from the people who have been there from it’s naissance. team pmf forever!
I absolutely feel like beeing there with you. thank you so much for sharing like this with me! i really got the impression that if i would meet you in a caffee i would just sit next to you as if we where friends for a long time and it would not feel strange to me. when i recognized that it felt weird but its just because of the way you are. i do not want to go over the top but you inspire me; in my job as a fashion buyer, my private shopping routine and also in the way i look at things.
Absolutely adored this video, it was the best episode far, really well composed and conceived, really interesting. Scott has a super sexy voice. And you look bloody amazing with your hair down and these glasses. Keep the hair down more often pleeeease.
i always look forward to these fabulous shows and this one in particular was absolutely incredible! totally jealous that you are living it up in paris. i wish i were there.
xx, http://wordbyjessie.com/
Beautiful beautiful video, especially the ending all in sepia! Sigh. (or rather, I die!)
Plus Scott talks! And eloquently, too. (But what was that expression on your face, and Lauren’s! Wah wah wah, you girls looked bored to death!) Interesting debate, I have no idea who’s side I’m on. As long as something creative comes of it all, why not? Who IS Lauren, by the way, besides being one of those naturally stunning blonds like the actress Julie Delpy that gives French girls such a romantic reputation?
Okay, Garance, I’m in Paris, and you’re in Paris, so my only wish is that I see you in real life! I don’t need an autograph or a photo, it would just make me sooooo happy inside if I spot you somewhere on the street!
What a treat! I start my day with e-mails, checking sales on my website and of course your blog I look forward to. Just in case there’s another post I check again and VOILA……A Pardon my French from Paris! How nice. What a fun team and Alice wears the red lip better than anyone.
What….no croissant? I look forward to eating them when in Paris which is not too often. You’re probably sick of them. WHO MAKES YOUR BAG?
Dries Van Noten – eclectic elegance and Rochas…..The best of the best! Yes, mixing it up is good if you have the “know how” and lastly – SCOTT SHOULD TALK MORE!
Wow super super vidéo! Very fresh!
Great Movie, I’am bloggueur about design, but this short inside movie describe very well one day of the fashion week. The movie is clean but keep all moment like a “RAW”.
By the way very interesting analyze from Scott and Lauren. But any way, I think that we will keep love Street style.
Furthermore, I think that to keep real street style it will always be possible to go outside in a big city or anywhere at anytime not specially during the fashion week to shoot real style. Is’n it ?
I loved the last conversation. I think that some people felt like they have to dress up, even if excessively, to feel like they exist, like they belong to the fashion world. There might be some kind of pressure around the show, some people must feel as if they don”t get shot, they are nobodies… I even got people asking me to be shot…
You can see sometimes people staying there just waiting to be shot, they are not photographers, they are not going to the show but they are dress like it’s Christmas and New Year together. I find it sometimes weird, sometimes sad… I don’t really understand what kind of pleasure they get from that but I guess that they need to be there , but also to have the proof that they were there so they can get the approval of their peers, friends or families… This is the Facebook “look how cool I am” era.
Other than that, regarding the bloggers getting clothes from brands to be photographed in during the shows, or even money to do it. I guess that if a blogger gained a certain celebrity status, it is only logical that they behave like celebrity and are treated like one. Therefor no wonder they get endorsements from brands the same way celebrities do.
Si joli, cette vidéo! You and Scott are so similar with the glasses on!
And I loved that conversation on the car…interesting. And Scott has a very nice masculine voice :)!
Pure Joy!:) I’ve missed lots of your summer posts and videos, while was having my vacation, and you know, now I’m delaying & waiting for the day, a weekend day, when i take a sit and watch everything missed post by post, taking my time and that pure joy:) class!
xoxo
Beautiful video. LOve the show by Rochas, de red/purple flower cape is amazing. Also love the thing Scott says on this video. It’s such a shame so many people only dress for the cameras nowadays and not for their selves. But still love the photos he makes ;) And yours too of course!
love, love and love this video! first of all because it shows a sneek of the city I miss so much, secondly because you show beautiful dresses as the showed at Rochas (superb!). And atlast, because you talk about street style with akind of reality that is quite strange between the people that are so invloved in that world.
Thanks again for your work!
kisses from Barcelona!
Really nice to see you without the bun :) You look great, Garance. This video also made me want to go back to Paris (went last october)! Have a great weekend. Love, Sandra
Nice conversation at the end of the video. I could not agree more with Scott’s point. Street style is not an inspiration anymore; all those nice outfits are more than calculated. We -aka designers, workers in creatives fields, etc.- have to look somewhere else to find authenticity. Tommy Ton and pairs are doing a great job indeed. This kind of street is just not as raw and strong as we expect to be.
Garance: I really love your glasses, are they from Cutler and Gross? They suits you as a glove. Your are really pretty with them on.
Dries Van Noten seems to be really laid-back even before his show. What a great vibe.
Apart from the noise issue when you interviewed Dries, I think that was one of your best Pardon my French episodes. It was introspectve and wistful and all about change really. Goodness, in your house to have Scott’s accent and yours together, it’s a dream….
Garance, I love, love, love your “pardon my French” films. I hope to travel to France next year with my husband and children and feel like I know Paris a little better thanks to your films.
Enjoy your videos very much Garance. They are quite inspiring. But I always seem to find your Paris clips to have a little bit more depth to them and a little bit more inspiration…looking forward to your vids for the entire Paris week.
First, let me say, you look great in glasses and nice to see your hair down.
Dries is very nice. I met him at a shop here in Boston when he was promoting his book on his fashions.
So well done! With this video, it feels as if the Pardon idea has found its footings. Its dynamism is still unique and viewers feel very present, yet there is a heightened combination of dialogue, city shots, and of course FASHION.
(the final scene’s conversation is a summation of why ppl love your blog…or at least why i love it, i want to hear the insider’s opinion, not views based on projections from the industry)
Bravo to you and the GD Team!
Very honest dialogue……instead of street style…take a shot of me……circus like….especially in the last few season all these prints…it’s a bit dizzy…..I love the his and hers specks…..your happy personality reflects your team. bravo….
I am still here!! I am only able to afford two indulgent purchases this fall….. one being IM Blackson boots in burgandy….ooh lala….swoon!……and after year I build my wardrobe with pieces that speak to me, and through very key pieces my own style has evolved. I have a signature style for sure but it doesn’t come from buying everything I love (or wish I could buy)…..it comes from making art in my closet everyday with what I have. I love the Street Style conversation! Was unexpected but wow….so true….really resonates as you look at all the photos being taken. Thanks to Lauren and Scott for keeping it real for all the ladies who are not Anna Dello Russo or Emmanuelle Alt. :)
LOVE the Dries show!! Stunning!
Thank you Garance for another lovely episode.
The two shows are my favorites for SS13!!
You look amazing and so natural.
Watching the episodes brings a smile to my face and my heart!!!
Merci…
Bisous
Garance! I need need need need (well, not really but I would like very much) the brush you are using for the loose powder! Please let me know what kind of brush it is, thank you! :)
Hello, Garance,
I become emotional when I watch your movies, in a good way! Your movies and articles are wonderful because they were created by someone who is doing what they were made to do, and that is beautiful. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and perseverance, you inspire me to work at what I was made to do too.
OK, I know I’m commenting all over the place, but I think I figured out a way to make your front page a bit less jumbled looking.
The default number of feature articles means that the “categories” (and ads and stuff) on the right column don’t match (in screen inches) the articles and “hand picked” portion of the main column – leaving a big white gap at the bottom of the main column. If you allow for more articles in the main column, they’ll match and it won’t seem like there’s a bunch of excess *stuff* on the right side. Also, people might be more likely to make it to the content on the bottom row of the page.
Wow!!! You make chaos look so cool and inspiring. Most people don’t have a clue how much is involved in bringing just the basic fashions to the streets. Let alone the show stoppers. I salute you.
That conversation in the car has to be just publicised more, it’s true, so very true what they both say. In their own right. Awesome video. Cheers from Milan.
This video has so much inspiration and fun in it from all the cameos and chats to the fashion shows …it’s the best so far.
Dries and Rochas are my 2 favourite shows sofar .
Dries is supreme, wish I could wear his creations top to toe all day every day…. absolutely wonderful creations.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh big congratulations to the PMF team– this video shows so much maturity, PFW has really come into its own. This video to me is perfect… Fashion, interview, Garance’s voice, Paris… we are transported into another world and inspired… I really feel that PFW is on the forefront and poised to change internet video… (what about your beautiful illustrations as animation???? I could see that being a very interesting direction/elaboration of your experimentation….)
i am a student living and researching in mexico city. there is a long history of people trying to determine “authenticity” within the Indígena communities of Mexico. at a certain point the argument of authentic and inauthentic is exhausted. people slip in and out of authenticity. also authentic is in many ways a category and categorizing “authentic” is imposing an outsiders view on a people.
so in “street-style” you will simply exhaust what is and isn’t “authentic.” through sites like sartorialist i have been influenced in how to style and through experience i have had to find out what styles fit my body and personality best. it may include a big brand here or there but it rarely carries the message of class or money aspirations such as Ralph Lauren. I would hope it represents form and personality.
living in mexico city is incredible because while it is cosmopolitan there is very little representation by street-style bloggers. very little dressing up for anyone except for the people around you rather than a still photo that will travel. i have a brand names that might stand out in europe – like rick owens – but here it stands only for it’s form and the style it imparts.
Garance, thank you so much for inviting us into your Paris world. It’s such a beautiful city and you shoot it so well, and it was so nice to meet your team as well as the people you work and mingle with in the fashion shows. The Dries collection was simply stunning, and both retro and modern at the same time, if that makes any sense!
Also I really enjoyed hearing the conversation in the car with Scott and Lauren. It’s so rare to hear Scott speak in a video so it was great to hear his articulate opinion on street style.
I have been following your blog for about one year..it is the first time that I write a comment. I just thought that the video is great, and I love the way you have become a great reporter without loosing your spontaneous aproach. I like how you have built a professional team, that supports you, but everything is so well done that it seems to be natural and easy going.
It is your attitude what I like about you, what I think that brings the new vision and concept to fashion and Haute Couture.
Hi there Garance and team,
I just had to comment today… I love coming to your blog and you guys keep amazing me because you always show the artistic and inteligent side of fashion and it uplifts my spirit. Thanks.
Love.
I love your look – especially your hair – in this. I love to watch people listening to what other people have to say, the reflection of the thougts in their faces. Pardon my French is getting always better (pardon my German ;-).
Every time I watch “Pardon My French” I get a bit carried away, it’s so inspiring and it’s everything that I imagine fashion world to be. Enjoy your Paris, I bet you’ll have tons of fun!
And by the way, you look really good with those glasses :)!
Wow, a pink Paris! I like the last shot, and I love this video for some reason. I also appreciate the runway videos, as I really see how the clothes move when worn. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Hana
ps: tes lunettes : superbes !!!! elles te vont très bien :)
oh my god..! the guy on 0:50…i like him so much (excuse me i didnt catch his name)! i hope you wont get bored of me saying how handsome he is garance!you should take some photos of your partners!:P
yes yes yes garance ofcourse i’ll talk about your video! awesome! everything was so cool and you know…this time you got to create this family atmosphere whick i really enjoyed! the sceneries and the fact i saw you and scott and your friends talking was really nice!..lovely lovely vid!
ciao! :***
loved this video. not sure how i feel about the changing street style… everything is getting a bit too costume-y and too choreographed. there are few people who actually wear crazy things every day—when the rest try to imitate them, it just feels very forced and i can’t help but think, “what a poser…” it shows if it’s not from within. hopefully people will start to relax and stop trying too hard and their innate style will come through.
I’m only halfway the video, but I want to say that you, Garance, look so beautiful! I love it when you wear your hair like this. You look so happy and so elegant! X
Garance!
I usually read you blog daily, but have been so busy that I’m only just watching this now, on a sunny Sunday afternoon in Melbourne, Australia. And I must say, along with Dries being my FAVOURITE collection this fashion month, this is my favourite video you have ever done.
Thank you!
I really appreciate the turn in conversation in the car. It’s a great topic – authenticity of street style! Thanks for the insight into this private conversation!
Years before I ever realized that I would actually end up working for her, Garance was my introduction to a certain kind of fashion. At the time, she...
Until recently, I was a hard-core bronzer fanatic, it was my hero product in my beauty routine since high school. I tried every version under the sun...
Ahhhh the bun!! As you know, in my past hair life I was totally a top knot girl. But there is something about the low chignon that I also really love....
Very introspective. Very necessary. Love
o em geeeee, what a beautiful, takes your breath away, makes your heart beat faster kind of sky. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen something that beautiful in person. <3 I hope your weekend is full of fun!! :D
Wow, it looks amazing so far!

You always have such a fun glow to you! I am jealous- share your secrets please! :)
It’s called joie de vivre…!!!!
My favorite video so far. Loved it. So great for someone to call out the change in street style and have a real discussion on it. Wonderful.
I love coming in your car with you and listening in on your conversations with friends!!!!! And the Dries show was more beautiful when you could see the movement than in the pictures (and I thought it was beautiful in pictures!)!! I want to be the Spring Dries girl (sans inch-long roots).
Thank you for bringing us along!
xo,
Ali
love love love this video, my how perfectly paris suits you! so nice to meet your team and to see dries and rochas, both seriously swoonworthy as always. it’s wonderful that you featured this dialogue about street style by the people who know it best. it’s so nice to hear an honest take on what it’s become from the people who have been there from it’s naissance. team pmf forever!

Garance, I didn’t think I could love your blog more – but here i am. Amazing job.
Gino rules!
BEST PARDON MY FRENCH OF THE SEASON SO FAR!!!!!
Ok, I’m in love with your sunglasses right now…brand?? Really curious :)!
And Paris ah Paris…….that sky is so romantic….

i always look forward to these fabulous shows and this one in particular was absolutely incredible! totally jealous that you are living it up in paris. i wish i were there.
xx, http://wordbyjessie.com/

Very fresh!
I love Emily’s style! More pics of Emily please!!!! Em, we love you!!!
Is’n it ?
(Sorry for my english)
Yeeeeahh the extra(S) ! you remind me so much of Juliette Binoche in this video !!! must be Paris ; )
Great coverage. So true about street style… sigh.
You-re doing an excellent work with these videos…. I-m already addicted!!
http://lifeincurl.blogspot.com
Very nice video!

Great video!! Interesting conversation about street style!!
Si joli, cette vidéo! You and Scott are so similar with the glasses on!
And I loved that conversation on the car…interesting. And Scott has a very nice masculine voice :)!
Bisous! Ana
Bisous
Quelle source d’inspiration…Merci merci merci merci merci……………………………………………………………………………….!!!!!!

Thank you for letting us discover in this video one of your qualities: the serious and intense way you look at things!
The atmosphere of this video was so lovely! You look beautiful in your new glasses and with your hair down! :)
What a beautiful ending to the video!!
I’ve loved it so much!!
Thanks :)
Ca me donne envie de pleurer tellement Paris me manque! J’adore tes vidéos. Merci Garance!
It is lovely to see Scott, what a nice voice.
Your videos are evolving so beautifully. I love the direction you are taking them in.
I think this is the best one that you’ve done yet. Love your narration. Bravo.
Oh, Pairs.. gush.
so honest, so fun and smart. i felt like i was in the car with the three of you! garance you are so bare on camera.. you show your whole self. merci!!
I love this video! It’s so beautiful and I love the glimpse of life in Paris and how you start your morning. Love it!!
J’adore tes vidéos Garance, tu dégage une fraicheur incomparable !

But still love the photos he makes ;) And yours too of course!
http://www.creativityandchocolate.blogspot.com
Nice to meet all the staff :)
love, love and love this video! first of all because it shows a sneek of the city I miss so much, secondly because you show beautiful dresses as the showed at Rochas (superb!). And atlast, because you talk about street style with akind of reality that is quite strange between the people that are so invloved in that world.
Thanks again for your work!
kisses from Barcelona!
J’aime tes lunettes.
Très belle vidéo.
Your videos are always right on the mark and getting better and better all the time.
Such great work! x
Merci.
Grazie Garance! Thank you for being so delicate and yourself everytime you take us with you…
Garance, I love, love, love your “pardon my French” films. I hope to travel to France next year with my husband and children and feel like I know Paris a little better thanks to your films.
Loved the video Garance. Always cool and sharp and o so you.
Check me out, I’ve just posted a new blog post I’d love to share with you. http://www.19rivoli.com
Hope you enjoy,
Much love,
James
your videos are really well made and also is a way to be in the fashion week.
You should make all the videos longer than 6 minutes.
Quelle belle vidéo !!
Le show Dries Van Noten était superbe :)
xx.
Lovely video. It’s fun to see you in action.
Cheers!
http://marcelosalvadorphotography.wordpress.com/
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Enjoy your videos very much Garance. They are quite inspiring. But I always seem to find your Paris clips to have a little bit more depth to them and a little bit more inspiration…looking forward to your vids for the entire Paris week.
your glasses look so cute on you!!
Very honest dialogue……instead of street style…take a shot of me……circus like….especially in the last few season all these prints…it’s a bit dizzy…..I love the his and hers specks…..your happy personality reflects your team. bravo….
Prenez garde! Every field will brand itself out of existence!
Stunning!
Is that Bill Cunningham at 4:12 (in a blue jacket, of course)? :)
Thank you Garance for another lovely episode.
The two shows are my favorites for SS13!!
You look amazing and so natural.
Watching the episodes brings a smile to my face and my heart!!!
Merci…
Bisous
dreamy and funny and quirky – I loved it, my favourite video so far !
I looove Ginooo ! Et il fait quoi dans l’équipe ?
Parfaite video!
XX
http://lauralexo.blogspot.com
Tellement sublime cette vidéo <3 j'aime !!!
I agree with her definition of streetstyle.
I miss Paris… I live sooo far away!!!! And whoa your hair looks great like that!!!! Loose and freeeee!!!!
Garance, I’m in love with your glasses!!! Who makes them?
Just a thought!

I wonder sometimes why I love your blog so much, then it hit me!
It’s because when I visit it, it’s like I’m coming to see an old friend I can’t wait to chat with.
<3
This is very well expressed, especially the last paragraph…I totally agree living in Cape Town it’s the same.
the most beautiful day xx

Garance, thank you so much for inviting us into your Paris world. It’s such a beautiful city and you shoot it so well, and it was so nice to meet your team as well as the people you work and mingle with in the fashion shows. The Dries collection was simply stunning, and both retro and modern at the same time, if that makes any sense!
Also I really enjoyed hearing the conversation in the car with Scott and Lauren. It’s so rare to hear Scott speak in a video so it was great to hear his articulate opinion on street style.
xo Dina

ps: I love you and Emily’s glasses…may I know what their make is please? :)
Garance,
I have been following your blog for about one year..it is the first time that I write a comment.
Congratulations.
should be more like ‘pardon my english’;)
Dear Garance,
You look absolutely beautiful with your hair styled like that!! So naturally chic, loved it.
What Alexandra said. ^^
Every time I watch “Pardon My French” I get a bit carried away, it’s so inspiring and it’s everything that I imagine fashion world to be. Enjoy your Paris, I bet you’ll have tons of fun!
And by the way, you look really good with those glasses :)!
xx
http://gita-oddsandends.blogspot.com/
how do not love you ? ;)
Wow, a pink Paris! I like the last shot, and I love this video for some reason. I also appreciate the runway videos, as I really see how the clothes move when worn. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Bravo bravo! Is there any way to know where Emily’s glasses are from? Thank you!
They are Warby Parker!
excellent video!!makes me fall in love even more with Paris and your blog
Hana
ps: tes lunettes : superbes !!!! elles te vont très bien :)
oh my god..! the guy on 0:50…i like him so much (excuse me i didnt catch his name)! i hope you wont get bored of me saying how handsome he is garance!you should take some photos of your partners!:P
yes yes yes garance ofcourse i’ll talk about your video! awesome! everything was so cool and you know…this time you got to create this family atmosphere whick i really enjoyed! the sceneries and the fact i saw you and scott and your friends talking was really nice!..lovely lovely vid!
ciao! :***
Thank you very much!
loved this video. not sure how i feel about the changing street style… everything is getting a bit too costume-y and too choreographed. there are few people who actually wear crazy things every day—when the rest try to imitate them, it just feels very forced and i can’t help but think, “what a poser…” it shows if it’s not from within. hopefully people will start to relax and stop trying too hard and their innate style will come through.
Bravo. Beautiful.
A work of art. This video is so beautiful and insightful!
I’m only halfway the video, but I want to say that you, Garance, look so beautiful! I love it when you wear your hair like this. You look so happy and so elegant! X
And it was a lovely video. The images, the atmosphere, and also really interesting conversations. :-)
This is my first time visit at here and i am in
fact happy to read all at single place.
