Treat Yo’Self!
8 years ago by
We all have to sometimes…
As we find ourselves approaching summer (albeit slowly), I’ve realized I haven’t really done anything for myself lately. And the best way to feel good is to treat yourself every now and then. So that’s just what I did, a whole day of it – and let me tell you, it felt incredible. Me me ME MEEEeeeeee! Self-prescribed and self-involved for a whole day. Here’s what I did and you too can do!
Start the day off at yoga with a friend! I went to Yoga For Bad People at Bandier, which was kind of like a 2-for-1 because it also got me motivated to try one of their retreats in a tropical destination … soon, real soon.
Eat a doughnut after yoga. Yes, seriously. I meandered over to the closest doughnut shop and enjoyed an overpriced and overtly sweet treat.
Go for a mid-day facial. I did and it was SUBLIME. It was a real experience, futuristic, done inside a bubble. Yes, a bubble of 99.995% pure air, to maximize the effects of the what seemed like 27 creams and potions put on my face, not to mention the LED mask. Boom! Thank you Natura Bissé.
Stroll into three a sample sale. Normally my nightmare and not something I would let myself do … but, Comme des Garcons. Period.
Live the rosé life. I went to a wine tasting, which I suppose was actually a dinner where the food was merely a vehicle for enjoying all the variations of rosé … there are many. I tried them. Four of them.
Holler for some good wine and yoga. That is pretty much all my dreams for summer.

I drink coffee every day but it still feels like a treat every time. :)
But seriously speaking I have realized that you do have to treat yourself little lovely things. Like a nap in the afternoon… If possible.. :)

Tu as bien raison… On en a tous besoin de ce genre de journée !
I feel like I got to live vicariously through your treat day. thanks!
for me, I think my treat is reading. I read while I work out at the gym (thus my arms are not in the best shape now except for turning the page). also I read before sleeping (sometimes resulting in a shortage of sleep) but I feel like there is nothing like a good book to take me away from it all.
