Quilted Pants
10 years ago by
Winter in New York is still not nice.
The cold, wet snow shows up out of nowhere, forcing you to layer, layer and then add another layer for warmth, even under your pants (Note: not totally comfortable)! You look in the mirror to reassure yourself you don’t resemble the abominable snowman, only to find out you do.
We found these quilted, flannel lined pants at a tiny shop in Chinatown. With their one size fits all glamour and $13 price tag, they are the perfect pant for extreme weather conditions.
PS: Although we haven’t found them online yet, as soon as we do, you’ll be the first to know!
Il faudrait le voir porte pour m’enlever l’image du bonhomme Michelin !
before i read the text i wanted to say: this is such a chinese item! :)

I’m kind of weak when it comes to quilted leather and these ones looks fab.
Would love to see them on.

J’ai vu le même tout à l’heure chez…. H&M!
Le mieux c’est de le voir porté, car là, j’ai du mal à me faire une idée du rendu, mais ça peut être bien cool!

Très prometteuse comme pièce: si en plus elle joint l’utile à l’agréable!
i just love it ;)

I personally adore quilting – always have, always will! The price is phenomenal, so if you can find them online please, do share!
What you need is odlo underwear! Thin and so warm that you can even have coffee and lunch outside during a snowstorm! :)
Greetings from Switzerland
I am all for quilted pants… if they don’t make me look fat…

Nihao team Dore! I live in Shanghai and I see this style of pant quite a lot. But, not on stylish darlings like yourself.. My ayis (sweet elderly Shanghainese ladies who are my neighbors) shuffle around in our communal residential garden wearing very similar pants. They wear them when they are hanging up laundry, walking their poodles and just chatting and knitting together in the sunshine.
I say go for it. These pants are warm! And… you just might kickstart the pants version of Celine’s “Chinatown bag” trend.
xoxo
I corroborate that! I, too, live in Shanghai and find them on plenty of locals — although, in my case, I see more printed thick pyjamas around the neighborhood ;’) But really, on the other hand, young Shanghainese are completely on the Western view of fashion — you won’t spot many trendy girls wearing “Chinoiserie”-inspired clothes… There is a kind of uniform slowly settling in and I think it’s a pity, even if the pastels and ruffles are a little over-the-top (like those funny pants above) (hm, not sure I would dare) (maybe under my (too) roomy school uniform?) (yeah, that’s how bad it is!).

I like them but in some I feel fat. I would like to see more pics of yours. xa

Ce que j’aime de ça, c’est ce que l’on peut entrer en boutique, acheter ce genre de tenue, et puis se le mettre pour sortir, tout en 5m.
La question est : avec quoi le porter ?
xx.
Looks great! and i know what you talking about, wearing a leggings under the pair of jeans does not necessary make you feel glamorous and being uncomfortable while sitting or standing up gets into the completely new level!
I loved it!
I’m posting looks from Los Angeles and accessories:

I bought a wrap quilted skirt from Uniqlo, from their heattech line, a few years ago. Also winter warm and beautiful at the same time. Still love it!
Oh I love these! They remind me of T by Alexander Wang’s Fall 2014 collection

They get really pilly, hard to wash, itchy, and not as warm as you think
How cool, I always love finding gems like this in unexpected places. Great score! xo Hanneke

I have a pair of ski leggings that I put under jeans for extra warmth without too much bulk. They are only slightly thicker than regular leggings but seem much warmer. Sometimes I wear them with a sweater dress for a comfortable outfit that’s warm but not schlumpy.
Looks lovely and very cosy!

I got them in Chinatown, for $15. You girls are better negotiators, lol.
They are amazing! Warm, comfortable, and very cool shape. Love them so much. Thanks for letting me know.
